You will never be alone here~~~~~~sara
yes if you go to the doctors there are some meds to make the wd not so bad ... we are here to help...
Please don't worry about talking to your doctor. They have heard worse! And you wouldn't really have to go into gory detail, just say that you want to taper off of them, get a taper plan and maybe some meds to help with the WDs?? Tell him that when you don't take them you feel as if you have the bad flu and bad nervousness. That should let your doc know that you are ready to stop but need assistance!
You won't be judged here. Don't worry!
It is really nice to be able to talk to someone who won't judge me.I have keeping this to my self .And I Google kicking tramadol and I found this site.THANK YOU ALL!!!!!!
Thanks a bunch I really didn't want to have to talk to my Dr I am ashamed that I am so dependent on them. When I was put on them they were not a narcotic then. They sure are now.I new I was in trouble when I ran out 2 day's before my refill and was sick like flu and really bad nervous feeling.Couldn't sleep with a few over counter sleep aids.
DO NOT COLD TURKEY OFF OF THEM you need to do a slow taper off of A thousand ml of tram a day . you need to go down a bit give your body time to adjust then drop some more etc until you are off of them plz talk to you doctor have them help you with a taper ..plz dont just stop it can has some serous side effects if you do
I just got off of them myself, and you can get some help from your doctor. Tell your doc that you would like to stop taking them, and they can give you some meds to help ease the WD for you. I did it cold turkey and it was NOT fun!
Whatever you do, just get some help coming off of them. If I had it to do over, I would have gotten more help than I did. It was pretty miserable but doable. Just depends on how bad you want to do it.
The reason tram is feeling more addictive than vicodin to you is because it has an antidepressant quality that other pain meds don't have.
Talk to your doc and best of luck to you!
