hi I am Brownie
I just checked and I hit day 50 clean from tramadol...used xanax, vicodin too but trammies were the worst . Every day is better but I am still struggling to fill my life with healthy habits to replace the bad ones. Still I actually can feel like a normal person now and I sleep like a normal person.....this is huge....I encourage all starting this hellish journey to hang in...keep going,,,,"If youre going through hell keep on moving...face that fire and walk right through it.... you might get out before the devil even knows youre there..." A corny country song but I sometimes would sing it while I tossed and turned with insomnia and rls....Im hoping all who need it most get sleep tonight
68 days today from 10 to 15 50mg tramadol perday, been on the tram-train since Dec 20th 2010. Best thing I've ever done for my body. I get real sleep every night, might have a spell every 5 or 6 days but nothing like I was at the beginning of this.
How nice it is to look at everyone's clean date on here!!
I have found that I can set Goals or Dreams and look ahead to the Joys a Life in Recovery has to Offer!
1112...days from Street or Prescribed Drugs.
4200.. from the Bar Stool or Liquor Store.
Cigs are being worked on still but I am way down to a butt.
Today I hit 22 days clean of pain meds...Methadone and Vicadin. I know I will never go back and I'm damned proud of myself. Think I've been fooling myself that,I don't need N/A or anything. I quit alcohol years ago and never went back and figured I was just physically addicted to pain meds. But I've got a bunch of sadness hitting with this and clearly an addictive personality. So maybe it's time for a meeting?
TOMORROW ...I will have 777 days.........hmmmmmmm..........if I were a bettin spider! Hahaha! Grats everyone! Be proud and loud! Give yourselves your own private cerebral partaay! Cha cha cha Spidey two step! ((((8))))
25 days clean from suboxone! It's getting better, slowly but surely!
One week shy of 8 months clean from a 2 year Suboxone addiction. I feel better than I could have hoped for. Sobriety has been well worth the journey.
Hello everyone. I have been given the name Bee so, hey, this is Bee. I'm on day 4 off Percocet 7.5/325 too many times a day!!! My guardian angel, MsDelight pointed me in the right direction, which happened to be my bathroom, 4 days ago and I flushed 100 Percocet. I couldn't have done it without her! I'm feeling pretty good. Well enough to go back to my home NA meeting this evening. Honestly I can't wait!! Keep moving toward that light at the end of the tunnel. I've been there and it's a wonderful place to be. Thanks to all who inspired and continue to inspire me. God Bless
Hi guys, 1 year and 4 months clean.
Would not be clean w/o aftercare (AA for me.) I tried and tried on my own...doesn't work. Like Motye said, it's still life and it's hard, but w/o a horrible addiction, now I can truly make it better.
I got clean off oxycodone last November. So next month will be one year for me....can't wait to type that here and celebrate at my AA Meeting with my friends. Congrats to all the new and old on here for your clean time. Every day we are alive is blessing. Live each day to its fullest!!
You can do this!! Let this time be the start of a new life for you~
Hi, I'm Liz. I'm on day 16 from pain meds. I did a quick 3 week taper from 90 mg before jumping off at 20 mg. First week of withdrawal was rough but bearable. Looking forward to getting my sleep back. I'm sure I will feel much better when that happens. Certainly getting lots of things done around the house with all this extra time! Funny thing is it's all the stuff I couldn't be bothered with when I was numb from Oxy. Life is better already!
I plan on sticking around so... I'm Kristin. 20days today off sub taper. to quote the Beatles "Its getting better all the time!"
Hi, I'm Karen.... had a year alcohol free on Sept 24 and have been off pain meds since Dec 9th. Life is pretty darn awesome for me now!!! This has been the best year of my life that I can remember!!! The first month was hellish but I wouldn't trade it for anything!!
Find your support system and use them everyday even if its just to say Hi! Mine is my lifeline!
Congratulations to everyone on their clean time! And to everyone who is just thinking about stopping just know you CAN do this!!! <3

Hello all!! I'm going on 6 1/2 years now, I think, I tend to loose count, lol. Congrats to everyone on their clean time! Be proud. Shout it from the rooftop!!! To everyone still struggling, never give up. No matter how many "bumps" you encounter on this journey, you must keep at it, because the destination is absolutely beautiful, I promise.
