Clonidine is one of the meds given for detox at the treatment center I went to. It is a blood pressure med as well. I only took it during that first few days, maybe close to a week, not positive, things were definitely a little fuzzy at that point! I didn't lose any hair, that I can recall, lol, but it helped with that crawling out my skin hideousness. Good luck:)

Funny..I too finally broke down and took it for only a month after 22 days of he11..I could only take it at night..Like Teri said it has been around for a very long time..Heck they even gave me some about 10 years ago to come off my Meds..BUT as a Addict I was not ready.

Probably about less then a month but you get to see yourself bald lol,also my hair came back pure white, shaved it again and it came back my natural brown,,,ok not to sound sexist but this convo is getting kind of girlish plz ladies don't get mad,I"ve been married many years and I know who my boss is lol.

Thank you for your feedback and your experience with Clonidine. I seem to feel a little groggy from it. But I guess I'm calmer who knows....I am just starting out. As far as the 1 in a thousand % losing their hair, I'll take my chances.

I took clonidine and it did help with the " heebie jeebies" ,muscles crawling out of your skin,etc. BUT one side effect is 1 in 1000 lose hair,I combed my hair one day and found 2 or 3 small bald spots,went to Dr and he said it was a condition called allapeesha ? People of all ages can get it, I shaved my head,quit the clonidine and now have all my hair back. Not saying which one did it,just saying.
