I got a call from a band member of mines wife who was an addict. Gave me a great way to try and relieve the anxiety,,,,,gonna try n port back.
Yeah,I remember those nights.I would wake up and just jump right out of bed, felt like I couldn't breathe and the RLS was insane.Penelope is right about the hot baths as opposed to showers, they help the RLS and seem to help reduce the anxiety. The first 2 weeks the only sleep I got was when I was in the tub.Sleep will come.It does get better just hang in there. You're doing great.Peace..................Kim
I got about an 30 min sleep in last night. Does anyone else notice you seem to wake up to the w/d's hitting hard?
I'm on day 6 too. I'm getting some sleep, but very frustrating. I pace up and down the hall until I get tired of pacing then I go to bed and force myself to be still. When I wake up in the night, I go right back to pacing and do the same thing. I'm sleeping about 2 hours at a time now. Hang in there
I know how agrivating it can be to not sleep, when I detoxed off methadone it took several weeks for me adjust to sleeping without methadone, & their were many nights I never even got one hour of sleep, but eventually this changed, I started to sleep 2 to 3 hours, which increased into 5 & 6 hours, now I get between 7 hours to 8 per night. You may want to switch from taking hot showers, to taking hot baths, I lived in my bath tub for several months after getting off methadone, its very relaxing. Good Luck & hang in their, its gonna get better. Penelope
Congrats on the 6 days! Keep going. The sleep will return....eventually. Sounds like you are trying several different things. Just get through today, and tomorrow when it comes.
