Just need a friend...

I am trying to detox off opiates and just need some support.  This is not the first time so I pretty much know what to expect. The depression is the pits. Sometimes I feel that my normal emotional baseline will stay this way. I guess I am feeling hopeless.

Thanks
Livingston

You know what else I found that helps me.  Lots of light.  It's so gloomy in the winter. I didn't want to turn a light on when I was in my depression.  It was like I didn't want anyone to see me but when I finally did turn a light on, it lifted my spirits.
Not a miracle cure by any means but every little bit helps.

Turn on the lights!!!!

I was told to try sam-e. It works great! It takes about a week or so to really feel the effects but it's worth it. By the way, your not alone there is a bunch pulling for you. God Bless ;-)

This is in no way hopeless and these feelings will pass.  Opiates do some real nasty things to us once we stop and we have to give ourselves time to recover.  Try and keep yourself busy as the more you do this the more you get your natural endorphins working again.  Are you taking any vitamins/supplements?  That will help too.  B-6 and B-12 are great,  You are never alone here~
