Hi and welcome! This is definitely the right place for you. Lots of good advice and support. Could you please let us know a little more about yourself? What drug have you been taking? How much and for how long? That along with age and general health can all make a difference in how long and how severe your detox is. Please keep posting. We are here for you.

What is it your trying to wean from? How much are you taking? How long have you been dependant?

Everyone is different when it comes to taper plans and goals, we aren't allowed to give taper plans but the general rule is slow and steady wins the race, if you can't manage a taper get as low as possible and jump cold turkey! There is never a good time to detox, you just have to get on with it. Look at the Thomas Recipe at the bottom of the page, get all the things you need before hand an go for it, you have nothing to loose and everything to gain my friend. I wish you well, good luck!

I'm on day 7 of no opiates.  I couldn't taper myself off so it's been cold turkey.  Some great suggestions I've seen on here are ibuprofen, Immodium for the cramping and diarrhea, lots of water to stay hydrated.
Good luck to you; I'm still struggling but not giving up.
