Just passed 72 hour mark and...

tried to post this but have no idea where it went. I got a file not found message. So writing again. My physical withdrawals start coming on late afternoon and worsen through the night. Then next morning I wake feeling calm but depression deepens as the day passes until I think I can't take another breath.

Is this normal withdrawal behavior? Seems very odd to me.

In the thick of it, you say? Jesus! I read somewhere on here that the absolute worst is over after 72 hours. Then I read posts from people who say they've been clean for two weeks or more and still in hell. Those are the posts that are going to do me in at this point because I cannot imagine feeling this way two weeks from now. I am trying not to think ahead even ten minutes.   I have some of the stuff you mentioned but what has worked best for me is 8 Leg Cramp PM's and 2 Tylenol PM's couple hours before I lay down for the night. I stay there and twitch and the rest of it for 3 hours and then last night I took 8 more of the Leg Cramp PM's. I slept the rest of the night. I'll keep doing that as long as I can. I'm afraid of the melatonin because I take Prozac. I can take a hot shower but not a hot bath. The sun is shining this afternoon for the first time in too many days so I'm going to take your advice, get out of my head and out of this house....right now. Thanks again.

A BIG CONGRATS on 72 hours.. What you are experiencing IS normal during WD's. You are probably right in the thick of it and will be feeling better in no time :-) Stay out of your head as much as possible.. Walks & fresh air (sunshine) helped me immensely.. Don't sit around and think..stay as busy as possible.
At night to help with the sleep their are a few things you can try before bed.
HOT EPSOM BATHS
MELATONIN
ALTERIL
VALERIAN ROOT
SLEEPY TIME TEA
Avoiding all caffeine (caffeine during the early days can also increase your anxiety and nervousness)
for the RLS (the legs seemed to be horrible for me at night) I took HYLANDS restless leg & melatonin. It really seemed to help.
These are just some tips that I hope might help you.
