LONG TERM SUBOXONE WITHDRAWL

I have been going through suboxone withdrawl for 10 weeks now, weaning off of it!  As of 2 days ago I've had none!  It is just as bad if not worse than Heroin withdrawl!  I recommend speaking with ur money grubbing doctor so that they can set u up on a detox plan!!  My doctor is giving me Clonodine, visiril, and xanax to help with the symptoms...not to mention the huge cases of Immodium I carry around!  My doc says that once u have completely stopped it takes several days to "kick it"!  IF Anyone HAS ABLE TO GET OFF THIS HORRIBLE DRUG SUCCESSFULLY  Please contact me!

I am on Day 16 of no suboxone and it has not been fun, but its not been that bad either.  I jumped off of 3mgs after two years of use.

I am about 80-90% back, with some lingering leg cramping (Read a lot of leg cramping) and the insomnia still prevails.  Still averaging about 2hrs a night.

This too shall pass, but after the past two weeks, there is no way Im going to go back.  I can handle not being ok for awhile.  Ive been through worse.

At 10 weeks, you are doing amazing!  Hang in there!

MyLissa and mrblonde:  Forst CONGRATS to you both!!!!

I got off long term suboxone.  All I can tell you is NO its not pretty.  Its not easy by any stretch of the imagination but YES you can do it.

There are a few of us out there that came off long term sub use.

Its a battle especially if you dont taper down.. I jumped off at 1mg and had a very long detox.. mrblonde, I WISH i knew to get down to tiny crumbs before I did..The best stories Ive heard (like yours) are from people who did.. I think its imp to remember a little goes a long way with sub.. so the smallest amount is best.. My doc told me I would be OK coming off 1mg, I was not..

BUT MYlissa, I did do it.. Your about day 3 now so expect some more days of this and then you will start your upswing... its a slow arch down and a slow arch up but just be strong..Seems like you have everything you need.. try to pick up some vitamins, a good multi vitamin and some B12/B6 vitamins-- you can find a great list of vitamins in the health pages on this forum (Amino Acid Protocl) they will help too.. Other than that.. just hang in there.. It wont kill you... and it will pass.

Good luck to you both and God bless.

OK.its day 6 of no suboxone and I'm starting to feel normal again. A little lazy an d drained but after what I've just went through I figured so. Then again its been years since I've felt like me. Chills finally went away. Still having a bit of a tough time sleeping but there's no sweats or rms. I wouldn't have made day 6 without the great advice from people on the boards. Thank you sooooo much for all!!!! Good luck and stay strong. God bless

Hey. I'm on day 5 of no subs. Before I totally stopped I weened my myself down very slowly and very carefully. From 2 8 mg to half to quater to crumbs. I had all the symptons first 3 days really bad. Yesterday kept getting the chills and didn't sleep well but today I feel no chills!!!! But I'm just a bit drained. Before I stopped I went out and bought multivitamins a detox cleanse kit orange juice Gatorade ibruprofen to settle aches and pains. A lot of stretching and alot of hot baths. I Also used Xanax and seraquil for sleep and anxiety. Today is day 5 and I'm about 75% back to the normal me. I wish it was easy but Its not. But its Doable and possible. Good luck to you!
