My brother is an addict

My brother is 23, he has been addicted to oxycontin for 3 years. He recently was arrested and charged with poss. of a controlled substance with intent to manufacturer, deliver or sell. He had a large amount of oxycontin in his car and was not selling it. I'm his sister (25) and i bailed him out of jail. He has come to live with me. I want him to get sober, The charges are likely to be dropped because the cop broke his wrist while the police video SHOWS he is not resisting arrest at all. Anyhow, I want him to get clean....He snorts it and drinks it somehow?, Is oxycontin very deadly? How can i tell when he's high on it? I want to know about it as much as possible, so i can tell when he's on it, what it looks like in liquid form ect...I found in his room...coffee filters, a thing to snort it, and crushed pills. I know it doesnt COME in liquid form, but somehow he turns it into a liquid and drinks it.

he is taking percocet mixed with apap 325 and using some "magic" to seperate the tylenol (apa) from perc.  drug addicts need like 60-90mg dosage.  if they took that in the for mixed with tylenol, they'd die of tylenol poision.

No, oxycodone can actually come in liquid form.  It's not something you see to often but it is out there.

Does HE have any intention to quit? You say you wanna get him sober but unless HE is ready for it, there's nothing you can do about it.
I really hope he understands how lucky he is to have you around and he makes the right decision.
Best of luck to you. sophie.

Are u sure he drinks it?  When it is liquified it is usually shot up. Good luck. It is hard on the addicts family!
