The DEA has cracked down some, but it's still really easy to get stuff from Mexico. You can easily look at a PDR to know if it's correct or not, and from what I've seen, it was on the up and up that way. There ARE pharmacies though, that you are getting expired pills, and worse from though, like not even the right med. Other countries often have different brand names too, so it's always important to know your drug's actual name, not the brand you use, not that I'm in any way suggesting to obtain medicine that way. It sounded awful, but that's not how I meant it at all! Compounding meds. is done all of the time, here, and abroad, and at least here, it' a good thing. Certain pharms. will also flavor your med. too, and that's non-compounded ones as well. Compounding meds. isn't what you might be thinking, like it's just someone mixing **** up any ol' way with whatever. It's a science. Many common meds. are compounded.
Whatever you do, people, please steer clear of these on-line pharmacies. I mean to get the bad ****. There are FDA and DEA monitored sites for people who just wanna get their meds. without leaving their homes, and/or more cheaply. Lots of insurance companies sanction these for this reason. They can be found easily. Rule of thumb is, first stay in the U.S., second, if you need your thyroid medicine, and they wanna charge you something extra, besides the cost of your med., it's bad news. The real sites, the good ones, are much like the medical supply companies you see on t.v. commercials where people get home oxygen delivery and diabetic supplies. There are decent pharm. companies too, it's just too easy to get hooked into a not good one and get some stuff you shouldn't be taking.
I have been told the DEA has cracked down on pharmacies in the US, and they can't get meds like they once did. They are trying to use compound meds? The only time I've heard of a compound med is when a pharmacy will mix things for ache or something to do with a skin cream. I've never heard of compound pills. What if poison or something gets in there? scary
I can't believe that it's really that easy to obtain meds online. Atleast when I was taking them I had to struggle with obtaining them and I feel as though that is part of the reason I wanted to stop taking them. I was always a battle of when can I get my next batch and that was what I planned my life around. STUPID
It's as easy as just faxing your medical records. 1 Fax, 1 Phonecall, Done....
Yes it is easy, they do a phoney checkup by phone(what do you want ?How many do you want),and when I did it a few years ago much cheaper than the street with 3 months of refills.Scary huh
yes , she could be buying her pills online from a foreign pharmacy's
Im glad thru my addiction i never tried to buy online... id b horrified 2 try pills from the internet. how the hell would u know what ur even getting? could be expired meds, wrong meds, incorrect milligrams, poison, cripes who knows! Not 2 mention Id be scared the DEA would b pounding down my door! scary stuff.
I hate to say I have some knowledge about this, but I had a friend, who was also a nurse who ordered from on-line foreign (particularly Mexican) pharmacies. It cost about $25 (avg. rate) - $100 (for an over the phone consult) to order from these folks. You can get anything!! Anything!! The DEA is getting tougher on them, but it's still as easy as spelling your name to get 'em. You can not only pick the med. you want, but also the strength, and the amout of tabs. you want. Then you get charged for the meds. Depending on what's ordered, something like Xanax (alprazolam) 2 mg. tabs go for about 9.00, Hydrocodone 7.5/any strength APAP about 145.00. There's nothing the DEA can do to you, the only thing they can do is refuse shipment, at which point the pharm. hooks you up with someone else and you get your drugs anyway, or you get your money back. Trust me, I saw someone knew get into wicked trouble with Vicoprofen, this way. It's a bad deal, and in no way traceable to anyone who cares about you. Some companies, in the U.S., Britain, and Canada, also will get you some stuff, but they don't get the hard-core stuff, and if they do, they require your doc's phone number and name to call for verification that you've had this prescribed for you. The Mexican pharms. even have injectible pain meds., and all sorts of stuff. Stay away from that stuff, you'd be asking for some serious trouble. I believe her because I've seen it with my own eyes. It takes some digging, and like someone suggested, have her show you the site. Once she's a member, she doesn't even have to pay the $25-100 bucks anymore, and just orders and pays for those drugs that she wants.
if you want it bad enough........you can find anything on the internet. you can get suboxone on the net. only if you know how, and I will never tell.........
very tough to do but not impossible...goingtomakeit is right...i've heard of lots of horror stories of the DEA poppin a few surprise curve balls...they are VERY strict about stuff like this now..especially now that pills are the new drugs to do.....they are easily accessible and even more easily addictive....usually there is some form of dialogue between a GP and the website/doc prescribing...otherwise lots of doctors would be losing their licenses over a rx for a few vicoden
tell her to show you the site...she will have an account there...check it out and it will have what she has ordered...she may very well be getting them off the street
you can pay a good bit of money and find a doctor online who will write you scipts after a short questionaire....some want a medical letter from your GP...yes you can get them online...expensive
It is possible but not real likely. It is illegal and they do come after you. There are members here who have been approached by the DEA for doing this. in fact the dope never made it through customs.
