Memory loss associated w Methadone

Has anyone else noticed memory loss?  As we detox...I cannot remember simple things...it is not normal for me at all.  I am hoping the memory loss and lack of concentration returns soon.  
I thought I posted this earler...apparently I did not....unless I forgot!   lol

really  .. but on another note when i 1st got off methodone I moved for 4 monthes came back and the wordt part was my legs ant lack of sleep it seemed never to end , then I excersed it helped so much
but 2 yrs. later I find I need somethng to get through the day, which scaress me
no matter how little it is its still a  substance

this is so true it seems I can remember things from years ago but my short term memory is shot , its hard being at work asked about a file , or something very important that I did and I have NO  Clue  what was said at the meeting  its scary

I got off but somehow still find myself going back once inwhile and buying  a 40 bil bisquet but i will like take hald , its still messing up , but tis not like being on 100 mils every day with a hellava zanax addiction to boot , i did get of off zanax( so hard  after 9 years not missing a day 3 sticks a day wityh the meth) but  i take a conopin .5 every day  so I srtruggle still

Positive thaoughts and prayers are the best medicine. Folks are always looking for a drug solution to a drug problem here. You seem to have a better plan that is less drugs and more God. You seem to be doing well on 19mg. and you should be alright until the last dose wears off. Even then, sometimes people can make it off long term methadone without any problems . I've seen it happen a few times. all the best

We will dose @ 19mg tomorrow....1 week from today will be our last dose...We are doing our best.  A few symptoms here and there - nothing to even note as of yet.  We have implemented  a super strong vitamin program...we feel it is helping lots.  Taking lots of nutritional supplements as we have lost our appetite.  We did hike on Sunday and it made a world of difference.  Any exercise we can get will speed up this long process.  Positive thoughts and prayers seem to carry their own weight too.  And, of course, your support and compassion keeps us going.

Methadone could affects your mind or detoxing from it. I remember a lot of mental confusion from my many methadone detoxes. How is it going and what dose are you on? all the best

feomoon, Its funny that you mention this, as I have been going thru this since titrating under 20mgs, & its embarassing when Im at work, my job is very demanding & to mess up in a payroll dept, could be costly. But my coworkers & boss are a very tight group of people, they care for me as I do them, but regardless, work is work, & to many screwups just cant be tolerated. I also have found that in the morning before my dose, I sneeze alot, & its not your average sneeze, its like a sneeze that never ends! I cant wait for this to be done & over!!! P.S My mind was at its clearest after my hour hike yesterday, so I believe that excersise is gonna be a huge contributer to my success! & Prior to my detox when I excersised it was merely to keep my body thin, now it,s more for my mind, Its time to get my mind & brain back into shape!

I had to have my 80 year old senile mother remind me to take out the garbage.lol  I couldn't remember a thing.  I couldn't even remember if I walked my dogs or not.  It does get better. Thank God !

I TELL YA WHAT sry I can't remember sh** anymore. I know all to well what you are going through. My husband will talk about the things we used to do 10 years agon (the first time we were together) and I will be like "we did what?" or "where was that place?" he just cannot seem to phathom the idea of the memory loss thing....he has never done drugs...he was a drinker   social drinker

It is frustrating...I put things away - then cannot find them!  To a degree we all forget things here and there - but this seems to run a little deeper.
It will be awesome to have the privilege of my clear mind again - I never considered it a privilege until recently.  I get so much enjoyment from reading abook...meditating...doing some energy work - None of which I can do now...oh I can do it, but I have read the same books over the past year...
We do get our moneys worth if we buy a movie!!!  It is like having a brand new movie always!!  LOL...

I most certainly relate to you there. everytime we go to a little town called scottsburg i always ask my husband "is there a dollar store in this town?" and he gets so aggravated ...not to the point where he's mad mind you.....

I can't speak for meth but it sure did w/d from vics. You will, fairly soon, experience a much clearermind. It is amazing, then you will find that as you look at things you did on drugs. What you thought you did ok on, you really didn't.
