Methadone Withdrawal, Really Sweaty Feet?

I stopped methadone cold turkey 30 days ago and I'm still having really sweaty feet. I'm trying to figure out if I'm still detoxing from the Methadone or if there's something else going on?

Anyone had this experience? Best I can describe it is it feels like I'm walking in butter and it's the most bizarre feeling. I was on methadone for 4+ years and jumped straight off at 60mgs a day. I'm 30 days out and I feel normal except for sweaty feet (most annoying) mild anxiety (totally manageable). Just need some people who've been through it to chime in.

Thanks for this. The doctor weened me off methadone onto Fentanyl and I discovered that Fentanly makes me feel like I'm in withdrawal. So now... I'm tapering off the Fentanyl.

I've been on pain medicine for so long it barely works and I think I'm sick of being dependant. This Fentanyl taper is driving me nuts now.

Advil and Flexaril to the rescue forevemore!!! Of course I'm doing that thanks to 3 cortizone injections 10 days ago at L3-L4, L4-L5, and S1.

I feel terrific and it's time to be done with this garbage that makes me feel so weird. My upper lip sweats and that drives me nuts.

Thank you for your response!

People have more sweat glands in different parts of the body. Your system is trying to find its base line for thermostat and fluid retention. Try wearing open shoes for a while and maybe even using a feet deodorant that can help control the moisture just for now,. It will get better and you have done very well. I know is uncomfortable but trust me when I say, well worth it. All the best.
