You are not stupid.....you are addicted. I am not really sure on a taper plan for these but i will try and find out okay? Try and be positive. I know that is easier said than done but you can get your life back. It will take patience and alot of strength and determination. What other meds do you have laying around? Are you taking anything else?
oh, god... i just put 20 aside for withdrawal.... i am taking supposedly 25 mg xr but as they are from mexico i don't think they are the real thing. and i take 3, sometimes 4 a day to keep chasing the high. i can either try to crash over thanksgiving or order more and crash after the holidays. what a hideous dilemma. they have taken my brain away. i am stupid. i am taking a very advanced studio lighting (photography) course and i can't learn anything as my brain is checked out on adderrall. should i be brave and go for thanksgiving or wait until after the holidays as i'm always so depressed over the holidays anyway that i'm kind of afraid to quit before, but i do have plenty of other meds which I could substitute for the adderrall....
Sara is right, addiction affects all walks of life.No matter how much education or how much money or lack there of,addiction doesn't discriminate. It's also almost impossible to do it all alone.Rarely do we succeed if we don't reach out for help. This forum is wonderful but it can't take the place of physically having someone right there with you in your corner.Keep posting and all the best to you...Kim
Yes you can taper off Adderall but you really need to discuss a taper plan with a medical professional. Addiction affects all walks of life and it doesnt matter where you came from. You say you hate 12 step programs.....have you been involved with this before?
I was on adderall for ADHD and I just took myself off along with other pills. I had to go back on them because it help with my abrupt anger that I cant control. Im down alot i take just 1 10 mil cap XR and Im actually ok with that low of a dose. What dosage are you taking? I actually started feeling better after 4 days when I stopped taking them.
