Boost of encouragement please?

Good morning friends, so it's day 33 for me...I've done a great job of really getting out of my own head (you know what I mean by this) and staying positive and trekking along, taking one day at a time. Pretty much done with the physical wd's for a bit, starting to sleep, almost feel "normal" (whatever that feels like, it's been a awhile, eh?). I've got aftercare taken care of, seeing a therapist, life is good....then BAM...I'm sitting here at my desk at work and just drooling wanting a pill to "feel" good. I know I won't. I've cut all sources, doc's on board...surely this is normal to all of a sudden just want to escape with a buzz for a little bit? I could use a little boost from my friends on here, guess I just want to know this is normal and it will pass and I will get through it. I totally understand how recovery will be a life long process and clearly to keep my guard up because I sure didn't expect that this morning! Hugs! Spike xoxo

The craving WILL pass, sit with it and realize it will leave you.  That's what I have to do.  Feelings and cravings won't kill me, the pills will....keep on keeping on...

This is very normal and from what I have learned these cravings become less and less over time. It is such a strange thing... I haven't touched anything for over six months and today out of nowhere I felt the same way. I do feel taking a tylenol or even a cup of coffee helps.

youve made it this far,so just keep the faith.. whenever you feel you need a pill take tylenol, something to keep you from wanting one.. im only 45 hours in so im sure i'll need this same advice later. look where you are, day 33 :) I can not wait til i'm that far. you should feel proud of yourself, you rocked it !! You've been through the hard stuff, now you just gotta keep in your mind that you never wanna go through that again.. make a plan.. I'm really not much help as i'm not thru it the way you are but I already have my plan, that is my 3 children, my 2 grandbabies & one on the way and to live my life so much better than the way I have the last year & a half.. do you have a family?? i'm sure its normal for you to want one, honestly I do to, but I keep telling myself i've came this far, I'm not going back !!! Hang out with positive people.. I really wish you the best :) Sherry
