You've been through quite a lot of physical WD symptoms the last 5 days. Now it's time for the good part, getting much better very soon. You're doing this! As your sleep returns your fresh thinking and energy will return. You're over the hump now. Congratulations on your 5 days!!!

Keep up the great job !!!    It will get better and you will get your life back. Take it a day at a time and as said above, the more you move the better off you will be. Day 20 should yield some noticeable improvements.  Hang in there buddy !  You can do this

You can do this, just keep pushing yourself one day, hour, minute at a time and before you know it, you'll be over the hump. Then you can see things more clearly. Have you thought about going to any meetings? It has really helped me understand our disease and get support. Good luck, and congratulations!

Welcome! And congrats on the 5 days! That, in my opinion, is the biggest "physical"  hurdle. If you garner up the strength to get up, and move around as much as possible (walks, cleaning, tinkering, fixing) you're more likely to get a "Glimmer" of you're old self. Ie: REAL FEELINGS! It will probably be short, and you'll want it back. But, take it as a sign of things to come. You didn't get this way overnight. And the mental part is a bit#$!  But, you CAN have that greatness back. Just gotta be willing to work for it. And if you can make it through those five LONG days.... than you can do this my friend.  Seriously consider some sort of aftercare, cause that crap has done things to your brain that will cause you to slip, when you feel the strongest.  Take some time and read up on what Opioid meds do to brain receptors. It's a bit scary, but not as scary as being a flipping zombie for the rest of you're young life. Right?  Anyways, congrats.. good luck. And keep posting. This site is full of wonderful people who will chime in for support. If you need to talk, feel free to hit me up.

Hi stayingclean - welcome.  5 days IS awesome!  You have gotten through the hardest physical part of this and should start feeling a little better each day.  I totally understand what you are saying also; I struggled for 15 years and many failed attempts to get off the opiates.  You are so young and CAN turns things around.  Getting in to some kind of aftercare, i.e., meetings, therapy, etc. would be really helpful.  Stay around here and keep posting too - there is a lot of support here from people who have been through this and done it or are doing it right now.  Keep pushing on, you can do this...you don't ever have to go through this part again!
