PLEASE PLEASE GIVE ME SOME ADVISE

I have actually posted on here a few times before.  I really need some good advice on how to get off of my Vicodin ES 7.50 daily use. I started taking the 500mg about 6 years ago. I have real neck problems that cause me a lot of pain.  I only took maybe 1 a day of the 500 for about 3 years then went to 2 of them and then I had to go see a pain management dr. last year and he had me start taking 3 of the 7.5 a day just to keep the pain under control.  Anyway, to make matters worse for me, I am an Alcoholic and go to AA meetings. I just feel so guilty taking these even though they are prescribed. I honestly know that I am addicted to them and want sooo much to get off of them and deal with my pain another way.  My sponsor for AA knows I take them but doesn't really understand how they can be addictive like alcohol. She is a great person and I'm thinking maybe I should talk to her about helping me with these in the same way as alcohol.  I really need some good advice from you people though. Also can someone please give me some heads up on how bad my withdrawals will be.  I looked at the thomas recipe and i have everything here I need to take.  Also why do you wait until day 3 or 4 to take the tyrosine for energy?I really believe that is why I like the hydros cuz in the a.m it just seems like they give me extra energy to get started which is crazy to me. I would really appreciate any advice on withdrawals and how long they will last  and also should I go ct or taper and if taper at what rate?   Thanks !!!  How many really believe that just posting on here really helps and how often do you post and can i talk to anyone here?

hi ,just wanted to wecome you, its good your preparing for your withdrawals, i think this really helps, i think most are frightened of the withdrawals, but the more positive you can be the easier it is, some of it is mental , so a bit of mind over matter is a great help, you can do this, get all the stuff in to help as worried878 says, including some imodium, and plenty of fluids, post as much as you need , it does really help, and lets you know your not alone, and folks are rooting for you, god bless,

tyrosine can cause anxiety for some...it did not for me...it gives u energy and boosts dopamine production...but if u r already over-anxious/which some are during wd//then it can make u jittery
I never had anxiety only a severe loss of nrg so tyrosine was great for me....2-3000 mgs tho...the powdered form from bulk nutrition can be easier cos each pill is usually only 500 mgs and they r big pills.
5htp helped me as well each night..a calcium...magnesium supp at night also helps...emergenC from walmart also helped as we tend to get sick easily right after quitting...the thomas recipe is a great resource

Focusing on "how bad ur wds will be" is normal but later, if u do this, u will look back and see how unimportant it was/this worrying u r doing right now.....90 days from now, come back and read ur post about how worried u r...u will know then, if u make it 90 days and I know u will, that wds are not the focus of getting clean

stick with ur plan and keep posting
