light chicken soup is easy to get down, and the salt in it helps.
I was the same way, I have lost about 20 lbs in the last 3 months and when i eat i have to force myself. I did get some boost and it seemed to help some. I want you to know that your support is one of the biggest things that will help him. My wife is the same way. I am going to a new dr tomorrow and just hope he can help me with the pain i am having. You both will be in my thoughts and prayer.
Thanks for the quick response.some good information and I did check out your journal. this is a great site!
That is not uncommon at all. Boost is a great supplement that provides the necessary nutrients. When he begins the Thomas recipe....if he is unable to eat, do not push all those vitamins. Vitamins are very hard on your stomach...especially the stomach of an addict...so proper nutrition along with the vitamins are of upmost importance.
Plenty of fluids...water is best...no caffeine or sugar drinks...
Please read my journal regarding detoxing, etc.....there are lots of good remedies that will help him.
You are awesome to be so supportive and compassionate...that support will see you through. Continue posting as this forum has been a lifesaver to so many.
Best of luck
Peace
This is pretty common when going through withdrawal. Try getting some Boost or even Slim Fast. They both have a lot of vitamins. Make sure he drinks plenty of fluids. It's very easy to dehydrate during detox. Gatorade and Vitamin water are good. Tell him to hang in there , this will all be worth it in the end.
