This is another one of the not so wonderful things about Oxy and the likes. My brother (also a recovering addict) was on Oxy for the better part of seven years. He played hockey recreationally and took a hard check into the boards. He noticed that his side hurt in the mornings upon waking, however it's to be expected after a good hit, as usual, he downed his oxy's and off to deal with his day. This persisted, so he brought it up at his next Doctor’s visit, and low and behold, he had two broken (not fractured, broken) ribs. These are highly powerful pain meds and cover up all pain. My advice would be to go see a Doctor and be checked out as soon as possible!
Hi.....there are a lot of people on here who are much better capable of answering these questions.....and I'm sure that they will. I will say this, once I stopped Cold Turkey 25 days ago, my back pain was ridiculous. I was taking tylenol and ibuprofin all day long. As the days went by, the pain got a little better. I was driving today and realized that I haven't taken anything for my pain in days..........no tylenol or motrin. My pain is there, but on a scale form 1-10, it's a 1. I never thought I'd see this day.
Have you tried a heatwrap....I can't remember exactly what they are called, but Bengay makes ones. They helped me a lot when I was having rebound pain. It seems so much worse for the first week or so. I think it's our body wondering where the opiates are?
Hang in there..........K
