Need help with quitting opana

Basically I overcame a 7 year xanax addiction and it was a nightmare.  Now I have gotten myself into an opiate addiction.  I have been snorting 3  40 mg Opana ERs a day for about 6 months now.  Nobody in my family knows, and I have no doctor.  I want off, Im a full time student with straight A's, Im about to graduate but Im afraid withdrawal is going to screw my whole semester up.  Do I go to a doctor Ive never seen and ask for help?  Basically I have 40 8mg Dilaudids and 15 30mg oxycodones and 9 opana 40mg.  I want to stop with the least amount of withdrawal.  I know ill go through it but need to know how I should use the meds I have to wean off.  Ive been snorting all my pills accept the oxy's.  I dont even take the dilaudids but got a hold of em to help with withdrawal.  I could use any advice out there.  I know I can do this because Ive done it before and it was nothing compared to the benzo withdrawals.  I appreciate anything anyone can offer.

Thank you Deby, I really appreciate that.  3 years ago I thought the Bible was just a book that people adopted to be a religion.  Oh, how wrong I was when I had my revelation.  I was changed, but the addict in me was still kicking me to take a pill....  I am done.....  This is it.....  Did the Xanax, now time for opiates and I know that prayer is powerful, I pray for strength to get through this every day and its time.  I could keep buying Opana, nothing stopping me, but I gotta stop and now is it.  I have left what I have and Ima use that to make this the least harsh withdrawal as I can by tapering down and then deal with it..

3 weeks ago I had run out and got my hands on about 40 20mg oxycodones and I had to take 10 of those the first day just to get by so I know this will be hard.  After 4 days I should have weened from the oxy cause that withdrawal is easier than Opana but still hard.  Once I get past 4 days of opana free then I can taper down to a lower opiate and just stop I guess

I agree, I have felt so guilty for doing this.  I became a new creation in Christ a few years ago and I just dont want this anymore.  I have a future now where before I felt I did not while I was on the Xanax.  I know ill go through it, but I want to avoid cold turkey, no reason for that and doing so I might as well drop all classes which I do not want to do.  Thanks for your reply

benzos r pretty much the worse wds on the planet next to alcohol mainly because ppl die during alcohol wds and ppl  have seizers during benzo wds but dont underestimate to power of the opiate......like i said doin a proper ween your guna feel uncomfortable while doing it if your not then your not weenin enough

Snorting is an addiction in itself. Take them orally from now on.
Crushing and snorting the xr's is definitely especially no good.
All 3 of those pills are heavy hitters.
You can do this.

You need counseling and/ or support groups to help

I hear you on that and I do agree, but I have noone I can trust to hold them.  However, when I quit xanax, I never once wavered from what I took on my ween down to zero.  That was extremely hard but I did it.  Ive done benzo's and opiates and benzos are by far a worse withdrawal for me, I believe I can do it.

bottom line u got enough to kill a horse u might need to dwindle your stash a bit cause like most addicts its almost impossible to ween ourselves if n e thing when we know the end is near we go hard in the paint best bet is 2 confide in a friend and have someone else hold those pills and dispence them 2 u on daily basis that youve agreed upon in the guildlines of a ween  other wise your guna keep doin 3 or mo a day till there all gone then your guna be up creeek without a paddle so 2 speak least thats what most addicts would do otherwise we wouldnt be a addict right

panda's eh  those things arnt no joke personally i think those things are the most potent pill on the market......we cant help with a taper but best thing i can say is slowly slow down on them your guna feel like poo doing that but its guna be better than jumpin ship from where u are!!!
