Up all night.  Feeling all alone.  My husband doesn't get it.  He thinks its like having a cold.  He is really wonderful, but, I feel very alone.

26 Degrees here.  I love it!  Going up north Skiing Sunday for the week.  If anyone is in the white mountains Skiing and hears some lunatic type of laughter and screaming, it's just me, Avalanche.  Just get the h*ll out of the way!

Hopsing, I enjoy you so much!
A few years ago, I walked out of my bathroom with my skirt tucked all the way up so my but was all out there for the viewing.  My brother and sister in law thought it was pretty funny!  Better family than the whole outside world i guess!
I hope you get better quick.  I can't even imagine how funny you are when you are feeling great!
Can you say what you do for work?

Lucky you. Oh what I would give to go home today. My son is sick,i've got a cold, everyone here at work is sick. Alot of crud going around. Hope you don't get sick.
That story is funny,it happened to me about a month ago. I came out of the bathroom here at work wich leads into our break room and there were about 8 people in there eating lunch. They were all giggling and I was like what,WHat   do i have toilet paper hanging out. They all at the same time said yep. My face turned so red. They remind me of it daily. Not sure if thats worse or if having a booger in your nose when talking to a customer is. The worst thing about the booger is you never know how long it's been there.

The best support you can get is from people who have been through it , my husband doesn't understand if I start to talk about pills , he freaks out . You know i get why are you talking about it are you thinking about doing that again .
I do understand his fear though. Its certainly not his fault its mine. Woo hoo!!!! If yall didnt catch that , that was me taking responsibility!!!! LOL

Avalanche, try some b-12 it will give you some energy. So will a red bull but you'll never get to sleep if you drink that. I have felt the same way today and it does get you down. Hang in there though, tomorrow is almost here and today is almost over. Hopefully you'll get a good nights sleep and feel great tomorrow. Keep the faith, your doing the right thing. Your job will get better, home will get better and life will get better. Just gotta have faith. Oh man I was singing George Michael LMAO ooohh gotta have faith. lol
Smile,it could be worse you could be a manicurist doing a pedicure on some old nasty foot with crusty toes.

Feeling alone really sucks. Give yourself a big hug from me!! It's hard for someone who hasn't been an addict to understand how we feel. That is actually a blessing-it's awesome that your husband doesn't know. This means he isn't a drug addict, which means you are with someone that will be good for you in your recovery!!
I'm on day 37. I still wake up at night and feel a tad alone sometimes...it's getting better everyday though. If you are on the forum and it's slow-write in your online journal. You might end up penning the next great American novel!!!
You're going to start feeling better physically-hang in there.
Stay strong, you are doing great!

Avalancheblanche ... you aren't alone... there is a lot of great support here... hang in there... I just told my wife about everything last night and she is having a bit of trouble understanding as well, but it feels better to have her in on what's going on... she knew something was up anyway, but I just couldn't keep it from her any longer...

Hang in there!!!

Oh I can so totally relate. Last night was a rough one for me so I feel for you. I'm on day 13 today and am doing okay except for these rough patches at night. I only took the pills at night and not during the day so I don't know what to do with myself once I get home from work. My mind is saying "Hello! I need my happy pills" but I've got to just tough this thing out.

I hope you have a better night today. Hang in there.

More than  a year and a half on tramadol.  I am the addict.  I was up to 300mgs a day....I think.  Sometimes if the wind blew the wrong way, I would just shove another one in my mouth.
I have so much pain and guilt from the death of my sister.  We were not speaking when she passed.   I think being on this forum brings a lot of that back.  I think it is a good thing too.  I need to grieve. I need to move on.
O.K. Now I am bawling, and laughing at the same time.  Hopsing, keep em coming!  I need the laughs!  And again, pray for the poor souls that sit in my chair tonight too.....Only 2 peeps tonight...making up for lost time.

Yes I can relate to that feeling. Sort of like you lost your best friend? I morned losing my pills. I was so scared to face life without my mothers little helpers. thank God I realized there was light at the end of the tunnel.
You will get your joy back pressed down and running over. Give yourself time.

Well guess what your not alone and your not the only one who stayed up all night. I did the same thing last night and i'm dead tired today. Hopsing is dragging a$$ today at work. Are you working today? I'm so proud of you for yesterday. I knew you could do it. I bet you atleast feel good about that. I would.
My wife is just now starting to understand so don't worry about hubby. It takes them time. She told me in a long talk this weekend that she really didn't know how to handle the situation and didn't bother getting info on how. It's all working out though and it will for you to. You go girl. Another day and on your way. Life is beautiful.

So who has the addiction?  You or him?

Both of you need to educate yourselves on addiction & w/d's.

This is a good place to start, but we'll need a little more info such as DOC & length of time.
