Rough couple of days

I am on day 15 and, until yesterday, had a really good week. Felt good, only mild cravings and some fatigue. Yesterday and today have been rough to say the least. I ache everywhere and I am so tired I can barely move. My cravings are out of control - probably because of the body pain. I don't want to do anything but sleep. I am forced myself to shower and get dressed and am going to lunch with a good friend. Hope that helps some.
Anyone have more advice?

Hi Molly, Day 15 is great you should be very proud of yourself!!! I experienced the same thing around that time, I think our bodies realize that we are not kidding and that we are really stopping and the achiness sets in. It will pass, Im on Day 27 and I feel 100 times better than I did on day 15 about 80 percent better physically. I found that bananas and Hot Baths or showers really helped me as well as the heating pad. You will get through this you have already gotten through the worst part of the physical w/d. Like everyone else said it just takes time...I know that is hard to hear because we want it to be fixed now or find a quick fix, but time is key. I hope you have a better day tomorrow and get some rest tonight. God Bless You before you know it we will all be congratulating you on 30 60 90 and so on...days:)))

Glad to hear the day went well.  And you're right, it is better to focus on someone else than our own issues for a while.

Try some bananas for the achy legs.  The potassium is good for that.  And I think there are supplements you could take if preferred.

And think about opening up to someone you trust for moral and in person support.  It can make all the difference in the world, and I think it's important for our recovery to have someone to hold us accountable, especially early on.  Keeping this secret can make it too easy to fall back.

Hang in there, and even if sleep is still an issue, just rest and watch TV or a fave movie -  the downtime will be good for you.

You are doing great!! I'm on day 34 and there are def up and downs; I think this will continue for a while.  We have to be patient and let our bodies and minds heal.  Glad seeing your friend helped; getting out of our own heads usually does.

Thanks, everyone! I did feel better psychologically after meeting with my friend. She's going through a hard time so it was good to focus on someone other than myself.
I have taken 2 epsom salt baths in the past few hours. My legs are so achy.
I know this will pass. You guys are such a great support.
I don't have anyone else to talk to about this. I haven't told anyone my dirty little secret and don't think I can. Not yet anyway.

Hi Molly, you are in the kind of roller coaster phase of ups and downs. This is to be expected and totally normal. Getting out for lunch with a friend is a great idea, and should really help lift your spirits. Tonight, take an Epsom Salt bath to help with the aches. Remember, that this will pass and hopefully you will feel much better tomorrow. Take care!

I agree.  Getting out and distracting yourself from, well, yourself (lol) is a great idea.  And try to take it easy tonight to help with your pain.  A positive attitude goes a LONG way when it comes to dealing with chronic pain, believe it or not.  It really does help!  Meditation will also help.  Anything that relaxes you has huge benefits for pain-sufferers.  Believe me, I know.  :)

oh honey,  I am sorry to hear its been rough for you.  The nasty stuff will come and go, but you have to stay strong.  Good for you for forcing yourself to get out with a friend.  That's a big deal.  Have you been over doing it since you have been feeling well?  That could explain tiredness and achy feelings you have. Please keep in mind this is a healing process.  You are doing so well.  Let us know how lunch with your friend goes and how you feel after that.  Prayers for you.
