Night sweat and restlessness

I have tapered down to none of the lortabs and was only using 1 a day this is day 2 of nothing.  However i have been having night sweats and massive restlessness that will not allow me to sleep.  Is there anything that I can do to make this better or tollerable?

For me, nothing worked in the beginning at all.  I finally started catching spots of 20 mins of sleep somewhere btwn days 11-13.  Now, it's better, not great, but better.  I catch a few hours either every or every other night, with anxiety still.  It will lighten up as time goes on, and it's all unfortunately normal after w/d ing.  The worst of it is supposed to be over somewhere around 6 months.

I have been going thru the same thing this past week, had a couple of nights no sleep at all until i was advised 2 try melatonin, it works great and i have had problems with sleep even before going thru w/d. Just hang in there it will get better and you were on a low dose. I was on 20 10mg a day for 1yr and just started a taper and it was HELL but i am now down to only 7 a day(did this in only 3days) and feeling better finally. Hang in there it will get better and u can do it. Just keep  posting and everyone on here r GREAT support systems and will always b there. u r in my prayers!!

I am day 3 and last night I didnt have any sweats or chills, i got some exercise yesterday, ate really well last night, drank a TON of water, took .05 of xanax and soaked in a long hot bath with a book and then took an ambien and went to sleep.  I woke up at 7:30 and I feel better than I can remember feeling in along time.  I did get my house really cold and guzzled a bunch if immodium.  If you dont have anything for anxiety try echinacia and herbal tea.  Benadryl helps me sleep, so does tylenol PM, but  I am trying to stay away from tylenol as much as possible.  Good luck, hang in there--tonight will probably be a lot better.  I just keep thinking I just have to get through a few days and then it will be done, and I know I will never ever go back.

Agree with worried. Get the house cold and then use blankets to try and moderate your temp. At times you'll have none.. and then you'll fall asleep and wake up cold. It's uncomfortable, but improves each night. Agree on wallking too... I put in 2 hours yesterday (morning/night) and slept a full night last night (on Day 3). Keep it up.

I would get my house really cold and bundle up...then take blankets on and off as needed...the cold air slows ur metabolism and helps u sleep...have u tried anything to help with sleep?  also exercise helps with the rls...walk when u can as much as u can

Others swear by some type of sleeping pill. I have not taken them and did have about two nights of what you are experiencing. You may want to try and see what happens tonight - I'm guessing you will find it quite better. If not, some sleeping aid would be helpful.  Sleep is when your body does a lot of the repair work needed for your detox. Without it, everything is magnified.  Keep it up.  You are doing great.
