Hi Merri, and welcome. VICourageous gave you some good information and advice. I'm not sure if this could be related or not, but when I was taking opiate pain meds, like Norco, I would clench my teeth very hard during sleep. I would wake up, not only in beginning stages of withdrawal, but also my teeth, jaw, and ears were killing me. I swear I thought my jaw was broken and my teeth were going to fall out. Once I quit the pills, and completed the withdrawal process, I had no more mouth or ear issues. The big difference is that I never snorted.

Take care,and best wishes.

If I understand you right you were or are snorting? Well I did this for a long time..This will take time to heal..Snorting hurts the nose membranes and can take all the hair follicles out. My Gums hurt for a long time too..We just seem to feel pain more as we have taken our substances away..The Brain/Body needs time to Balance back from the removal of all of this..Just give it time and NO Snorting..It also does so much damage to the Lungs..Trust me I know. You will experience different stages but just know it is all part of the process..Surrender to it and do not feed it any more..The detox will be over in no time..It will become the easy part..It is working on staying clean the rest of your Life that will be the hardest..I sure hope you are getting some out side Support..We can not walk the Journey alone..Try getting under a heating blanket when  you ache..Also make sure you stay away from the caffeine & sugars right now so you can sleep..Try drinking some calm or sleepy time teas..Take Magnum, Calcium, Potassium and Ds at night to help with some sleep..Take a Melatonin too..Try to stay away from any Mind Altering Drugs..Your Brain/Body needs time to heal naturally..Ask Mother Nature and she will tell you the same..Hang close to post and we will be holding your hand all the way..Try not to put a Time Limit on this because we are all different in someways but the same in others. Just keep stepping forward and do not go backwards.
Bless

PS..If Gums do not stop hurting please see a Dentist..Drugs take alot away from are Gums & Teeth.

If I don't do any norco for awhile, my jaw teeth hurt. And my ear. Sometimes my nose. So much. Will ibuprofen help? How long does it last? Want to stop but this is part of the worst symptom. 3 snorting a day. Doing my best to taper down. But this really hurts. Baths help with the else and pain. Hearing pad too. Sleeping is hard at times too.

It would be better if my teeth & ears were ok. Is this normal too?
