Not gonna use suboxone

After putting alot of thought into it, I decided to stick with my taper plan & just deal with what comes my way, I was really leaning towards going onto sub yesterday but after a nomal nights sleep I came to the conclusion that it,s just not gonna happen, I do believe that sub is a much safer & better choice versus methadone, but I am so, so, close to wrapping this thing up, I mean geez, Im at 1mg & so close to having my life back that I dont want to ever put my body thru even the slightest of withdrawals ever again!  So I hope I have my friends here at the forum around next week, as Im gonna need ya!   & Really once you,ve come as far as I have theirs no looking back, Im sticking to my original plan, to be methadone free & live life again!!!!   Penelope

No doubt about it, I have worked for a year to get off methadone & I,ll continue fighting this out, its not easy but then again I knew that going into it. I just have to make it past this work week & keep hanging in their till Im done working, then I,ll be fine. I seem to be better this morning then I was at 2mgs last week, dont know why? But I,ll gladly take it. Sometimes during a detox you feel almost defeated, but somehow you just get back up & keep going forward. Penelope

We are so glad to hear you are going to continue as you planned.  We also feel sub is a good choice for some, but we have worked hard to get off methadone - we do not want to have to come off of something else.

2 weeks will be just fine - you have paced yourself really well and you are down to the very end!  We know how excited you are and we are excited for you as well.

Talk with you soon
Peace

Yep, Its pritty incredible, some days are better then others, tonight Im feeling very strong & ready to just get this last week of work done & behind me, then I can kick back and just relax, Ive said it time & time again, my job is very stressful, not a good place for a person detoxing off methadone, I have two weeks off & Im praying that I can pull myself back together again, I believe after 7 days I should be seeing some improvement, two weeks even better, as I have done this so slow, so Im hoping it pays off.
