Not sure what to do?

I am only 34 hrs clean and I am having a HUGE WAR within myself. Actually its not because I want a pain pill! THANK GOD! My problem is that I have an appointment in the morning to see the weightloss dr. They are prescribing me Adipex. Which I do need to lose weight but I am kinda afraid what this will do to my recovery? I am so scared if I take any kind of pill it is going to set me back. But my husband thinks it will be a good thing. I just dont know what to do?

Time to do some homework on the subject in the computer and find out what the deal is with what meds might be coming your way..Thing is,,you under-rate your strength..Many in here do when first figuring out they have issues with meds..Research,,do your own homework..You can find info then reconnect here and people familar with similar experiences will see where your at and can share what they did or didn't do to deal with the mental angle of this....

One of the first things you can do is talk to the doctor tomorrow and be completely honest. Let the doctor know that you have had a problem with other medications and do not want anything that has the possibility of you becoming addicted to it.

Second thing, weigh out the pro's and con's of going natural to lose the weight vs. using a medication.

If the medication is not known to be addictive, and your doctor says it shouldn't be a problem, then if your weight is a health problem, it might just be for the best.

I need to gain weight, so it's not something I can give great advice about. I can just wish you luck and give support if able.

Keep us posted.
