If you have ever posted and/or reached out for help or support here on MH, or even if you have just been reading and lurking, then more than likely you know Vic,  (a/k/a Moose Lips, a/k/a Mountain Momma).  Always willing to respond and encourage, she does so generously and from the heart with honesty, openness and humor….LOVE the humor!

Vickie - 365 days ago you made the decision to change your life.  Already 3,088 days clean from alcohol, you went to rehab - out of state and far from home, and began a long and hard detox from 3 different medications at once.  Having used for many years the recovery has been tough; a roller coaster ride of ups and downs, complete with personal hardships; family illnesses, aging pets and a lack of clean friends in a small town.  Despite these odds, you have pushed through and become stronger as the weeks and months have gone by.  Thank you for sharing your experiences; the struggles as well as the victories, as you have helped so many others here in this recovery process.  Thank you too, for being such a loyal and true friend; I could not have made it where I am today without your unwavering friendship and support.

CONGRATULATIONS to you on this wonderful day of milestones –

*** 1 YEAR (365 days) clean from opiates and benzo’s and Adderall,

*** 9+ YEARS (3,453 days) sober from alcohol, and

*** 28 YEARS (10,220 days) married to your best friend!

Today it is 1 years and a day..I also wanted to give a BIG HUG to EvolverU and Airley13 for being here for me day in and day out..Anytime I needed either one, they where here to Support me all the way..I sure do love you Gals for this!!!!!

Sometimes I feel like I went into a comma at a young age and woke up being 57..Now I have to get used to being a bit older and realize I can not do all the things I used to..BUT I sure will try anyway..lol

PS..FourJays it was Methadone..haha The other opiates lead up to the Dones..lol

Vic!!  what can i say that hasn't already been said?  You were one of the first to reach out to me on here and was a real instrument in helping me get and stay clean...flushing those pills....lol  I can't thank you enough for always being here for me and others feel the same way...just look at all the love in the above posts!!  you are so loved on here girl!!  you tell it like it is and you are sooo funny girl!  just love the sense of humor even when you are going thru some really trying times.  

I will never forget the first PM i sent you about that comment you posted on that thread....OMG   "darn you need Jesus"....i STILL laugh at that Vic!  girl you are something else!!  I hope to some day meet you face to face and give you a big hug!! you just ever know!!  I just love you girl!!
