Off of the Opiates

Well, today I am opiate free for 3 days and I feel great. It was so easy to finally stop. I used Suboxone to help get off opiates that i was using for 6 years. i used them legally and followed the prescription most of the time but i did not want to take 6 months to wean off. I was on 100mcg fentynal patch and as many as 8-15 norco daily.

I went to a Dr that can give Suboxone and i took it for a week and felt really good and then I lowered my dose for about another week and stopped and that was it. 97% of all WD was gone while I was on the Sub. I could sleep and work and everything. No RLS or pain or flu symptoms or anxiety or craving. It really was a miracle drug for me. The only thing I felt was a little muscle twitch once in a while at night when i was going to bed. But it did not keep me from sleeping and was not bad at all. In fact, I felt lucky, thinking to myself if this is all I have to deal with, no big deal at all.

So, If any of you want off of opiates try suboxone or Subutex or Temgesic; they all have the same ingedient except for the suboxone which has an additional drug that keeps IV users from injecting teh Suboxone, siince it will make them deathly ill. And less is more, cuz the drug is very strong.

I used the Sub and only had to take 8-10mg once daily and over the two week period I lowerd to one, then a half and then a quarter and that was it. EASY!!!!!

Are you craving?   Do u have a aftercare program, like N/A or counsouler?
I am seeing a counsouler, and have been clean almost 7 months WOO HOO!!!  LOL
I didn't find a meeting yet that i can get into, but i will still try....

suoxoe comes in 2mg to that is what I'm on now a 2m tab. And yes to me is a life saver to even though I'm still on it is been 21 days for me but I have to say that I'm not to concern I know I have to work on my issues that make me use the norcos to biging with the tapper and then stop I hope no more than 3 months for me. but it is so nice to hear that you were able to jump in and out that is great.
