YOUR beat bet is to keep tapering you will find it harder the lower you go there is no perfict nuber to jump from but I would tell you its in single didgets if you want the withdrawals manageable it takes a lot of perseverance to get down to a level you can jump from
I cam off 150 and it took me 8 1/2 mo to get off the stuff and that was doing the drops by myself
if you need help doing this I will be happy to help you we cant discuss tapers in the open forum
but message me if you need info we can talk one on one good luck with your journey here
I haved helped several people off this stuff and will be happy to help you also good luck and God bless Gnarly
I would say to taper with your docs help down to the lowest possible dose that you can without staying in constant withdrawals. Your doc can maybe give you some clonidine to help at the end of the taper.
Great job so far though! Keep it up. It's so worth it!
Hi~~ Gnarly will see your post and give you his thoughts from experience. I don't have any personal experience with Methadone but I have a very good friend who is now 9 months clean. I think it's great that you've gotten down to 20mg the right way. He did the same sort of taper, got down to 5mg and jumped from there. It was rough for him during the first month but he hung on and feels wonderful today!
Keep doing what you're doing. Don't let the clinic talk you out of anything. It looks like you're right on track!
Keep posting!
Excellant job on the taper! If you've had it that long it sounds like there's a doctor involved, I'd include them, I don't want to give bad advice but I know for sure you've done well on cutting back. Carry on
