One week ago today I took my last pill....

So it's been 7 days since I took my last percocet....i had been taking about 70-75 mg a day for 3 years....the last week has been very hard to say the least...but I am so proud of myself for making it this far (even though 7 days isnt that far in the spectrum and I still have a long road ahead) but I probably couldnt have done without the support from ya'll!. I had been taking gabapentin to ease my w/d symptoms (which helped ALOT) but in high doses, last night I finally slept through an entire night and today I have only taken 600 mg of gabapentin, compared to the high dose I was taking. I worked all day and felt good and had energy. I am tired now but that is probably from the long day too, either way I AM starting to feel better. I just wanted to thank everyone who has given me messages of hope...you guys have helped save me . xoxo

Great work on your 7 days!  I remember before I quit c/t I wished I cud just go to sleep and wake up 7 days in!  Fat chance.  I did reward myself with a new guitar to replace one that had been stolen several years ago after I made 7 days.  Little rewards work for me to honor the journey I travel. I believe the very best people and the very best in people is in this forum.  The stories of courage and perseverance in the face of heartbreak and life's trials is the most inspirational material I have ever found.  I love everyone here

Hi there sweety
I haven't slept more than 2 hours and I think even that's stretching it, in 2 nights.  I woke up after an hour last night with an ear ache and really sore throat.  Other than that I am fine lol.

How are you doing?  How did you like the new job and do you have the weekend off?

Celebration girl!!!  7 days is HUGE after 3 yrs of percs!!

Glad the gaba has helped and also glad to see you backing down the dose.
Just don't go too fast and be sure to wean.  I've just been off the gabapentin for 55 days now.  I got myself down to one 300 mg cap per day and made sure I took it at bedtime.  It's not addictive, but if it can help with all the things we take it for.......it's only logical when our brains don't have it anymore......they have to adjust.  I'm still adjusting.....

Thanks for sharing this milestone.....
Blessings to you~
