Opiate Withdrawal

Hello; I have been dosing morphine sulfate 30 mg 3x & oxycodone 30 mg 3x for 9 months. I have ran out of my doses & can't get any refills for 11 days (I am unable to see the doctor for 11 days) My question is; I have a few of each of the medications & some vic's left over from a previous script. I also have a script to trazodone for sleep. What can I do to ease the withdrawal?

thanks for the cool response. I have some Imodium which is loperamide. Will that work? I really haven't had any help from the pain management people....it seem that they ignore what I faxed them two different days now. I'm going to start exercising (if I can get up to it). Thanks again.

go to drugstore and get few bottles of loperamide. it will greatly help w/ the wd's symptoms. do a search on loperamide and wd's and you'll find more info. the traz will help you sleep (just don't stay on it too long).
but please remember that after 11 days if you do not really NEED to restart the pills, don't. you'll be detoxed by then, free, out of chemical jail. if you do decide to restart the opiates, remember to do so at lower doses since your tolerance is down after 11 days w/o them. but seriously think about not restarting, the fact that you ran out so early means you are on a downward spiral with them and things are only going to get worse on them.
i wish you luck.

Hi! Go to the health pages and read the thomas recipe and amino acid protocol.  They both have good info.  Take hot baths with epsom salts.  Drink lots of gatorade and apple juice.  That will keep you hydrated and reduce leg cramps.

Good luck!
