Opiate Withdrawals

I just went through detox 10 days ago. Was on oxy's for 2.5 years. Was taking suboxon at detox. Helped with the withdrawals. Left the place, felt good for a week or so. Now it feels like I'm going through it all over again. The last two nights I have had about 6 hours sleep combined (one last night), I have the the RLS again, anxiety. Is this normal?

Another question for all, do I suck it up and wait out these symptoms (how much longer???) Or do I call my doctor and ask for something to help, like maybe more Suboxen? I assume more meds are not the answer, but I'm a first timer and have no clue.

Thank god for this web site!!!!!!

I don't mind at all. They were giving me two pills every 12 hours. Had to sit and wait for them to dissolve in front of a worker. They weened me off over the three days, which my last one was at noon the day I left. I assume the med stayed in my body for a couple days after because I felt pretty good when I left. I honestly don't know what the dosage was.

Hi & Welcome,

Yes it is pretty normal at ten days out to still feel the effects of the withdrawal. Suboxone has a long half life so that could be effecting you too.

If you can do any kind of exercise it will help to tire you and will also help with the RLS. Try taking a hot bath shortly before bed as well. This will not last much longer so please hang on and whatever you do, don't use.
