I know some folks who had good results with suboxone. You might check with Dr. Stephen Kovacs in Owasso. He's really fantastic.

Do stay away from the xanax, Susie. I've been stuck in that panic feeling for 16 days from withdrawing from Neurontin so I know just how you feel. I thought the xanax would help, but all it does is give you rebound anxiety and doesn't help at all, in fact, prolongs things.
Good luck, honey.
"I was a former drug addict and alcoholic..."
no such thing.. its a title that is yours for life..
keep at it.. stay away from the xanax, they are worse..
Welcome Back Susie,
You have been doing this a long time hun and I hope you are done and can get on with your life. You deserve a better life than this. All of that being said, I am concerned about your reasons for wanting to quit. I hope that you have gotten to the point where you are sick and tired of being sick and tired and you want a better life. I also hope that you will follow the detox with aftercare. I am trying not to harp on all of this because I know you are hurting right now.
I do not recommend the Xanax at all, knowing your background. It is highly addictive and your surely don't need anything else in your path. Your best bet is to go cold turkey and get it over with. By Sunday you will begin to feel physically better.
Get yourself good and comfortable. Maybe take a nice hot bath with epsom salts and get into some seat pants. You can use a heating pad on the body parts that begin to ache a bit, such as your calves. Make sure to push fluids and get some food into you. It is important to keep up your strength at this time. Tomorrow try and take a brisk walk and get those endorphins going. You will really feel a difference. Imodium is good if you find you are having bathroom issues and a product called Hyland's Restless Legs will help with the jitters.
A lot of members here have used, or still use, natural supplements so be patient as other members respond and can help you with that. With the upcoming holiday it is quiet.
Please stay with this and get to the other side. Ask any questions you need to, someone will help you.
I wish you the best and hope to see you around.
