I'm on day 3 of opiate withdrawal. How long does this last? My family does not know. It's killing financially. Just had to stop. Need info!

I started to turn the corner on day 4. Today is day 5 and the physical part has started to decline...

How are you feeling today better? You are gonna get better today or tomorrow... I'm still achy and not all with it, but much better than day 3 or 4.... Let your body feel, it's adjusting and its gonna take us time to be back to normal but your at the end of the tunnel on acute wd!!!!!

Hang in there. You aren't alone anymore.  Day 3 is tough but the good news is the worst is almost over.  Keep posting if you have any questions and we will be happy to help. Take some imodium and make sure you are drinking lots of fluids.  It really helps.

Hey Alone, Keep pushing through. I know these first few days are not fun, but you won't regret a second of it. Taking your life back is SOOOOO empowering. This will pass and you will have the rest of your life pill free. Try to get some exercise. This will distract you and get your body and brain working. Hot baths for body aches and some lean protein for energy and also to help your brain heal. Support coming your way!

I turned a corner, physically, on day 3.  I know everyone is different, but I would think that you should start feeling better soon.  Congrats!

i dont know if this helps, but you are right around the time the physical w/ds peak.  So get through days 3-5 and things should really start to ease up.  It took me 2 full weeks until i really started to notice a big improvement.  Week 2 was mostly mental cravings.  But for now just focus on getting through today.  I drank alot of gatorade and just kept telling everyone & myself that I had the flu.  Also cutting off any connections to the pills was another thing I had to do.  I totally can relate to the financial problems.  I was giving alot of my paychecks to my dealer and because my tolerance was getting higher and higher, I had no choice but to either stop or get rid of my car and home.  I had already gave up so much for this addiction, I wasn't going to give up that too.  I am glad you found this website too, it really helps to read & post.  Hang on there, it really does end, even if it doesn't feel like it will.  Congratulations on 3 days free!!:)
