Opiate withdrawl day 5

I've been on methadone for 10 years and quit just over 2 months ago. To deal with those withdrawals I turned to heroin. But 5 days ago I saw someone OD and decided to kick the habit before that was me. I'm on day 5 and while there have been small victories I'm still MISERABLE! Im just wondering about any advice on easing my withdrawl symptoms.

I wish you all the best on your journey to get strong and stronger as the time passes by. Dying earlier from a substance is never worthy a shortcut in a precious thing called life. A walk in the morning can do wonders. Stay hydrated. You may like to eat pure organic yogurt with some bread when you are not in a mood to eat anything else.

I kinda screwed up and took half a suboxone strip today. Is that going to set my withdrawals back?
