Oxyneo Withdrawl Time

Well, I somehow got back onto opiates again. Three years ago I had managed to taper down from 125mgs of Methadone to 5mgs for two months, then I bit the bullet and completed the 90 day hell of Methadone withdrawal. Yeah it really, I mean really sucked. So fast forward 3 years and I now face more opiate withdrawal, this time I've been taking 40mg Oxyneo per day for about 3 months or so. Anybody have any idea the withdrawal time for such a small daily mg consumption? It's been 2 two days and I'm not gonna lie my body aches and I can't sleep for the life of me. The reason I ask is I work and just can't afford to take alot of time off.  Any info would be great. To anyone thinking about joining a Methadone program I would advise you to only do it as a last resort. The withdrawals form Methadone are unreal, and it will kill your teeth, believe me I am living proof.  It took 6 months and 5 appointments for the dentist to fix my teeth. Stay strong, just tell yourself you can and will do it. If theres a will theres a way. Feel anger towards that inner demon and it will fuel your want to succeed, that really helps me.

Are you taking any supplements to help?  Ibuprofen should help the aches.  Alteril is great for helpimg with sleep.  Valerian root works womders for anxiety.  Hot soaks in the tub helps, especially if you use Epsom salts.  Keep up your fluid intake.  Imodium  works great on tummy issues but alsomwill help withdrawalmsymptoms in general.   I didn't believe that but itt's true.  Google Imodium for opiate withdrawal and you'll see.  You'll be able to do this ... you came off methadone,  this won't be nearly as bad or nearly as long.

I'm clean from opiates about 81/2 months. I've been thru 3 detox sessions. Not sure if I have another recovery left in me. I started going back to NA 5 days after I stopped, and have been going ever since. It's the only program that works for me. I also come on here every day without fail and try to help people and give support to people going through withdrawal or long taper programs.

Actually yes. On my first bout with opiates I was very naive about the drug, I didn't know much at all except, that I liked the way I felt while using. After a while I educated myself about what I was doing to myself and knew that eventually I would have to face the physical and mental reality of what I was doing to myself. I then understood I was in control of how long I could let this go on. So I decided to get help? If you don't mind me asking what are you using?

I'm willing to bet a couple more days of feeling lousy but the sleep might take another week to level off. Congratulations on stopping while you still can. Your first bout was quite a bad one. As for me, I'm convinced that I'm powerless over my addiction and absolutely can't control the use of drugs. Have you reached that point yet?
