Best advice possible listed above. Just wanted to add - make sure you keep yourself hydrated. Taking Atenolol and Xanax together or too often will drastically drop your blood pressure. As I'm sure you know - if your bp dips too low for too long it can be a serious health risk. So to avoid running into that problem DRINK DRINK DRINK!
well, atenolol is a blood pressure medication. So is clonidine. They both also help regulate the heart rate, so yes it will work. Be careful though, when detoxing off of opiates our blood pressure doesnt skyrocket like it would if we were coming off of alcohol. Check your blood pressure once a day if you can. Atenolol lasts longer than the clonidine and thats why you only take it twice a day compared to every 6 hours.
I wouldn't even fill the tramadol Rx. taking that much oxy, the trams will not even touch any pain you may experience. Its best to not even go there, would be like eating an M&M for a migraine.
The Xanax will be helpful, especially the first 3-4 days. Take it regularly (like every 6 hours) it will help with anxiety and panic feelings. This will also drop your blood pressure slightly and along with the diarrhea and atenolol......stay well hydrated with lots of gatorade and other drinks with electrolytes (sodium, potassium etc...sports drinks).
The lexapro will be helpful also, however, remember that you will not feel the full effectiveness of it for about 2 weeks. So during detox, it won't help much but you will need it on board once you have physically detoxed off the oxy so you have a better chance of not going back out and using again. Also, continue taking it even if you feel you don't need it.....when you feel you don't need it anymore is exactly the reason you are taking it.
Make sure you also have Immodium. Follow the directions on the package for this one. But, you'll need a few day's worth of this.
Good luck and let us know how things are going.
