Wanna Know What? Trout's Update

It's probably been close to 2 months now since I've popped a pill and to be VERY honest with you...  At about the 8th day or so I had absolutely no cravings for them again and still haven't.  It was just a relief to finally be done with them.  My doctor helped me taper pretty slowly from 30mg's a day to 25.. 20... 15.... down to 10mg's and then done and over with.  The only WD symptoms were the runs and a little sleeplessness but not too bad.

My point?  I really don't have one except for that I'm glad this ride is over.  It was a little over a year and as far as I'm concerned....  It was a lost year of my life.  No cravings no nothin'...  I'ts just over plain and simple.  I've made some good friends here and it's because of you guys and gals that I'm through with this.  I just wanted to send out an update.

Things with the wife are getting much better.  We've worked out a lot of things between us and it wouldn't have happened 2 months and 1 day ago.  These things have been piling up for the last year and I didn't even really notice.  It wasn't until I cleaned up that I could address some of our problems.  Now we're back to the same relationship that we had before opiates.  Maybe I should say that we're almost there.  :)  She's the best!

Thanks you guys...  Yeah, I've been laying low the last week or two.  I'm not nearly as dependent on this forum as I was 4 or 6 or 8 months ago.  Please don't take that the wrong way.  It's good that people are here with their problem but in a bittersweet kinda way it's also good to see them recover and move on.  I'm not leaving by any means but you probably won't see as many posts.  I check in every day!
