I am five days sober. I have a long history of drug abuse but began my addiction to loratab and some methadone when that was what I could get. I am at the point where I have no energy all day but am wired all night. I have found that the hardest thing to do is to pull myself up and do SOMETHING. It really does help with the energy. Also I have been told depression is a culprit for some of us so that may be part of your problem. I have heard you can get a B12 shot.

I was just telling someone about these last night. Me and my husband have been drinking these little 2 oz 5 Hour Energy drink/shot things.(that is their name 5 Hour Energy) They have about as much caffeine as a cup of coffee and consist of a lot of vitamins & some ingredients from the amino acid protocol. It also says on there you don't crash like you do w/those energy drink pops and stuff and it doesn't have the calories those do. Anyway I buy them at Walgreens but the first time I found them was at a gas station they are usually at the register. We love them and drink them all the time b/c you don't get jittery at all. I have been drinking them since I quit the pills also.

L-Tyrosine may help. Look at the Health Pages near top right of page. Look at the amino acid protocol. Eat right and take vitamins 2x/day. Exercise helps too.
