Glad to hear. Good job. I hope to be where u r soon
Okay, today is Sunday, 5/22, I now have 7 days opiate free! Funny thing, I'm probably over the withdrawal, but now I have a nasty cold (or maybe it is still withdrawal). I can't tell, as a lot of people I work with had the flu. So mine is probably intertwined. Now I'm just taking Robitussin am and pm. Thank you for all who wrote and supported. Next time I have pain from a surgery or trauma or whatever, I'm seriously going to consider just sucking it up rather than take the pain meds and having to get off of those! I think the pain was a lot less worse than the withdrawals from the pain meds.
Hey, you are doing SO good! Hang in there ok? The restlessness during the night is completely normal and yuck. I remember it so well. Get up and move around and maybe you will feel a little better. I had the arm thing worse than legs. I wrapped up in a blanket from the waist up, as tight as I could and tried to sleep that way for an hour or so. Just do what's comfortable and helps you. Getting up and out of the bedroom helped me some nights. I just forgot about sleeping for a while. It was THAT or go completely crazy!!!!
I hope you get some rest!
I never xeroxed from alcohol. I've detoxed from alcohol. iPhone did a crazy spell check above.

It's 30hours now, 2:14 am. Woke up with severe anxiety and restless arms and legs. Husband gave me 600 Mottin. I've gotten about 4 hours sleep. Feel really bad. I've gone through much worse though xeroxing from alcohol, so I'm pretty sure I'll get through this if I don't take a Percocet. NO MORE!
my day 4 was the worse for me, but it does vary, great thing is you will be fine for your holiday, somethong to look forwards to!
On day 2 do you think I should be able to work? Or do you think w/d will be worse by then? I'll eventually find out on my own, but just wanted some inputif it will be worse.
You will be fine! Take the clonidine as directed. It may make you feel lethargic, but that's about the only side effect. The best thing to do is exactly what you're doing. Just stop the pills, flush any remaining and get it over with! You will be fine for your vacation if you don't take any more pills!
You're doing great!
God bless you and Sudie. I really feel supported just by your responses. Anyway, I tried stepping down, then I got it down to 1-1/4 and felt crappy and then did 2 for 2 days. I've decided to stay on the Clonipine and just stop. Today is day 1. I'm at work and feel a little ******. I'm so frightened, though, because I'm so focused that on day 2, the 48th hour range, I'm going to really feel crappy. Very, very scared. I'm going on vacation in 2 weeks and I don't want this albatross around my neck (a monkey on my back)!
Hi Karen-- Sudie gave you excellent advice;I just want to throw my support your way...
It's sp hard to say for sure, but in a general sense,I don't think it will be that bad. Length of use has a lot to do with duration and severity of withdrawal.
I've never taken clonidine but many people who have say that it can cut withdrawal symptoms in half! To make it go a little easier, you can just stay on 2 per day until your body adjusts and then drop to one,etc...It depends on whether you can stay at 2 per day
without going back up.day.
Drink drink drink!! You should be fine!
Good luck!
Thank you for your input. Do you think it's going to be unbearable considering I'm down to 2? I can't believe I'm back in this position again and I feel it's not voluntary this time. If I knew I was going to go through this, I would have sucked up the foot pain and just taken Advil.
it is hard but its doable, the clonodine will help little, i am in recovery from alcohol also, but i didnt find the opiate withdrawal any worse, (or better, ) sorry to say, make sure you drink plenty of fluids , like gatorade or juices, you might need imodium for any stomache problems or diorreah, also take hot baths and get some fresh air and walking can help, i wish you well, god bless .
