Please Help - Hydrocodone W/D

Hi!
I have taken hyrodocones 10/650's for 13 years. I take 4-6 a day for FM and CFS. I also take Tramadol and Ritalin which is also part of this treatment as well as for Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. And then is the 1 mg of Xanax that I take at bedtime every night... also for 13 years. This all came after being in a bedridden state for 3 yrs. These perscriptions were all perscribed by one dr and for the treatment of such. I never abused them and even at times did not take them it symptoms were not present.

Then the day came that I felt that I was in worse condition with the meds than I would have been without them. So I decided to stop, starting with the hydros first. That was 10 days ago, cold turkey from them. I still take the tramadol and .5 mg of Xanax at bedtime. One step at a time.

Day 3 and 4 was a bit strange but truly day 5 and so on with a piece of cake. However come day 8 - fatigue and depression set in. Day 9 much worse with headache. Today is day 10 and I went down like a sack of potatoes!!! I feel like I have the full blown flu. The uncontrollable eyes tearing, shivers, burning etc. all led me to believe that I may not be through withdrawal. As the day continued I got sicker and sicker. Finally I took a Xanax at about 9:30 pm. Well .5 mg of it..It helped a bit. Once in bed, my legs started twitching horribly! I took another full Xanax and still no help. I am up in middle of the night with two kids under 3. Well grandkids. I need help!!!

Why didn't I get this on the famous 3-7 time span? How long will it last? What is happening to my body right now? Is there anything I can do for the leg twitching? I can't stand it nor sleep!

Thanks for your help!

Hot baths work well for the RLS. Some people take antihistamines, but for some it can actually make RLS worse..I am surprised at your symptoms actually.  Did you stop taking anything else at or near the same time?

Thank you all so much. The RLS ended around 4am I believe and I feel asleep. Is there treatment for that which is non-medicated?

Lesa... I didn't understand your abbreviations. Could you explain please?  A

Ur doing good

As far as WD u shouldn't be having the bad symptoms excetp RLS it can last for a few months on an off. But everyone is different
I would talk to you doctor

But I'd u are not taking tv same amount of Tramadol that ca. Cause the withdrawl stuff your having
And I agree qi top post u should have a doctor involved when going off Xanax or any Benzo like that because you can have seizure
I'm here for support if you need to talk

Take care

First i want to say, congratulations!!!!!
Are you taking the same amount of tramadol? Tramadol works like an opiate so if u reduce that u will start having wd too.  Please be careful with Xanax taper u should have a Dr help you with that. One thing I learned from this board is everyone is different.

Sounds like you have restless legs... I an over 100 days out and still get them occasionally :( the only thing that helped me in the begning was neurotin. Then for fatigue I am using l-tyrosine. Which is a form of amino acids.read on it first before you try, I don't know the extent of you medical history. This just works for me. But all the urge symptoms your having I don't know what they could be from since your 10 days out. You may want too go see a doctor and tell them what your doing and then have them check in to these on set symptoms. Hang in there. Your in a good spot for cold turkey, 2week mark things started too get easier for me :)
