Please Help!!!

Hi my name is tyler.. I am on day 3 of my percocet withdrawals and its horrible!!! I was taking about 15-20 perc 30 mg a day and some times more.. I just wanted to know how long does this last for?? I feel like im getting better just want to know when i will be better!!! This is the worst feeling i have ever felt in my entire life!!!  It aggravates me just typing!! well i hope someone can help or at least let me know.. Thanks!!

Hey I'm on day 3 too. I was taking Percocet, MS Contin and Demerol for chronic pain due to a kidney diseas but stopped cold turkey on Friday. Like ConstructionJim I needed to separate need from want. Over the last several years it's definitely been more want to me so I felt I needed to just stop completely. Like you I was taking at least 20 percocet a day and when that ran out I'd take ms contin or demerol so I was rarely without something. Hang in there. I'm right here with you. Let's do this together.

3 days so far is awesome Tyler! I know this ***** and it feels as if you will never climb out of the hole you are in right now but trust me, you should start seeing the light at the end of your particular journey in a day or so. Keep reminding yourself that this won't kill you and will in fact make you a stronger man in the end. Hang in there buddy, we're all here for you!

And I thought I was bad taking 4 lortabs a day for 4 years. I see now that I actually may be on the low end of the scale when it comes to quantity of use. But let me tell you, it doesn't make withdrawal any less eventful.

I do know what you are going through. I use to take 25-30 a day of either percocets or norcos which ever I could get my hands on...Trust me that after 4 years of this daily abuse it does get better and you will feel and see the whole world in a positive light. Just take it minute by minute. when your mind starts to think I just need it but remember mind over matter...its a want over a true need. Keep your distance from those that you can more from. Give yourself at least a week and then look back at what you missed just because your life was entirely hazy....Good Luck Tyler you can get clean as long as you truly want it...

im on day 10. i feel horrible still. i feel depressed, stomach ache, lack of energy, moodiness, and pain. i took saboxone 2mg per day for 8 days now im cold turkey......im here with u tyler, we can make it through this, just stay strong.

I am almost 3weeks clean and I want to tell you that things do get a lot better!!!  I am so proud of you for deciding to get clean...that in itself is huge...I ended up going to a detox center for 7 days.  But...if you are doing this on your own, definitely try to get into some type of na or aa program.  The people in these programs have gone through and some are still going through what you are feeling.  Just know that you are normal and that many people are here that have gone through it, so you are not alone.

You have come so far in those three days, it would really be a shame to turn back now!  Please keep posting and know that the way you feel is only temporary.

I too am in the third day...about the same dosage of Oxy's.  I believe the worst of it to be past me.  I am not ever going to shed the dependancy of meds, but I wanted to seperate need from want...I found it.  Hang in there...youre going to be just fine.

Read thru this post I have linked below as another individual asked the same questions in the past day or so..It can give you a quick overview of what to expect, where your at in this process, and some advice on some things you can do to help with the symptoms your going thru..Do your best to see this thru... Your right at the point most people peak out with the initial hard physical wd's and start to slowly get better. If you are experiencing stomach problems , running to the bathroom specifically with any diarrehea symtoms, go buy some imodium or and equivelent anti -diarrehea otc med...Here's some reading for you i the link below:
