New here

Hey everyone. I'm new here and just finishing up day 36 clean from vics. All withdrawals and depression have been gone since about day 10. But I'm just curious as to how the hell do I get my brain out of this fog. I'm 24 years old, always went to the gym since I was like 16 so my brain's pretty used to that already. Any tips? Or is that a waiting game?

I was a gym rat ... Worked out with the big boys lol . Garvin GoodRidge was a Arm wrestler brother was a fighter in UFC or lower class like UFC Garry Goodridge I may of spelled the names wrong but they are brothers .  I just signed back to gym tried today and curled 15 pounds and it hurts lol . I was able to bench 265 and if I was still at it today who knows .

I loved to workout it made me feel good ! body felt great and I respected myself .

Friends still workout , they will be benching 300 I will be benching 60 . Ahh . But I remember my personal trainer told me , once muscle is made it comes back faster .

Thanks.. Health is a huge motivator for me. The gym is the one healthy addiction I have. I've spent years researching proper diet and exercise plans, and have many friends that I train in the gym. It's pretty much my life, which is why I decided to stop pain meds. My interest in being the healthiest person I can was my motivator to quit.

And good job on cutting back. My tip is that it's not ALWAYS bad to replace addictions. Start going to the gym and make sure you have goals. Once you see results, welcome to the healthiest addiction you can possibly have ;)

Nice man you stopped at a good point in your life . Took me 5 years to wake up after I was downing 170 mils of Oxy and 10 percs a day . Im now down to 3 percs and 30 mills but crossing the finish line seems just as far when I was at 170 mils :)

Im sure your taking in multivitamins carbs are good for the mind as well . but im sure you know all that already .

I know I won't relapse. I'm confident about that.. As far as using goes. I was never a heavy user. I started 2 years ago taking just 2 vicodin every weekend to feel good. 7.5mg. I was always fairly sensitive to them as even just taking two had me throwing up. I eventually was taking about 5 per day up until 36 days ago when I decided I'm done. I cut off my supply, so I can't relapse even if I wanted to.

Yea cold turkey. It really isn't so much of a physical feeling in my head. It's more like my thinking isn't as clear as I would like it to be. I feel normal in the morning, I go to the gym, feel great after that. Then the fog comes on in late afternoon or in the evening.
