Good to hear...yes, it will be worth it.
Oh Keri, that is wonderful. I am soooo proud of you
~Susan
Congratulations Keriberi :)
That is wonderful news for you and your baby! You should be proud of yourself, GREAT JOB!
Peace~
I would be very concerned about the stress your putting on your baby right now. You are quite far along and I don't think any doctor would advise you to do things this way. I am seriously concerned for the one that doesn't have a choice or say in this matter.
I hope you and your baby make it through this "safely".
God Bless,
Nauty..............
Oh Nauty. you just opened up a can of worms.
Her nurse said it was ok to do so it must be ok.
I find that extremely difficult to swallow, but if I must......then I must. What can I say.
God Bless Mom & Baby.
Nauty............
I am on the phone as we speak. My sister is a nurse and she says that she would never give that advice.......hmmm. Unless the Doctor him/herself ordered it, so the Doc must have ordered that decision, right?
Nauty................
I have issues with it too but all I can do now is pray!
:)
Keep it up. Are you doing OK, other than the not sleeping? I believe that melatonin is safe during pregnancy and can help with the sleep. I would ask before taking it though.
Hang in there. It will get better.
I will keep you and your baby in my payers! Keep up the good work and I hope you get some sleep soon! I remember at the end of my pregnancy how horrible it was to not be able to get comfortable...I can't imagine adding what you are going through. Hang in there!
way to go girl. that is awesome. 1234betterlife knows her stuff, you are in good hands.
Nurses are not Doctors !!! Although, a lot of them like to think they are. I hope she knows her stuff by consulting a REAL DOCTOR before she gives advice. My sister knows her stuff too, but would not give advice, because she is not qualified as an RN....especially in this area.....
Nauty............
i will just refer you to the post 1234betterlife made on keriberis preggo post. you can address her there. some ppl are smarter than you.
There is no question that many people are smarter than me. That's not the issue. The only issue is being responsible about the advice you give. All I am saying is I hope she got this advice from a DOCTOR.......the only advice that should be given in such a serious situation should have been .......tell your OB/GYN what is going on. Its not fair to her and her unborn child and thats the only thing that matters.
She should be talking to her doctor and not a nurse on a message board. I dont know her credentials, but I hope she is at least a Practitioner, or has experience with working with addicted babies, but still i think its irresponsible . Thats my opinion and I am not going to comment any further.
Nauty..........
1234betterlife has 20 years OBGYN as a RN. I am quite certain she had reasons for the advice given. I also think that this is not her typical advice. I f she is already on day two and feeling pretty good. Maybe it wasn't such bad advice after all.
Thats what I was thinking too. I agree.
Nauty....I am going to publicly give you props for your "actions" lately. I see that even though you have not always agreed and that you still speak your mind, you also are WAY more open to seeing others points as well!
I give you a lot of credit for that. I have seen it in a couple of posts today and I just wanted to say that to you!!
Since there are two threads, I will repeat what I said on the other post. PLEASE communicate with your doctor as honestly as you have here. I applaud your efforts for detox, however, I will not begin to assume that I have the medical knowledge of you, your body or your baby to make any remote recommendations. I am praying you are in constant communication with your doc and his staff. My thoughts are with you and your unborn child. Sincerely, Jeanette
I agree about naughty changing. It is good!
I will have to put my 2 cents in too...I really dont believe tho that on something like this we should be giving advice...yes we should give support but not advice unless you are a doctor or even a nurse knows more then we do.
That is why she was referred to 1234betterlife in the first place. She is in good hands.
Yes i know she was but there was some advice arguments is what i was refering too!
All I am saying is I would respectfully suggest all recommendations and treatment for the mother and her unborn child be provided by the OB/GYN whom she has been seeing for the duration of this pregnancy. I apologize if I think it is very risky to offer advise in such a delicate time, other than recommend continued candid dialog with the medical staff that has been there from the beginning of this pregnacy and has the complete history of her medical records.
