Q about subs

Hi
I'm going to go on subs. First 24hrs will be bad before I start...
Some of u will remember me from the past...
Six weeks to go before I start (am still tapering down ATM)

My question- what/how do you physically + emotionally feel after taking the first dose? I know I'm an addict and used to the feeling of drugs but this is by the looks of it , a different kind of drug (not making u 'high')
?
Any replies will be greatly appreciated,
Thanks
Lola

I was on subs and would advise against from what you were on. While they take cravings away and made me feel "normal" (not high), you are still dependent upon a substance and many folks (myself included) end up on them much longer than they/we should be. Withdrawals from Percocet were a cake walk compared to subs. I think they are better solution for someone with a more "hardcore" DOC or habit, not to minimize yours by any means. I was on oxy and Percs and wish I never went on subs.

You're the one that was taking the codiene pills?? I'd just keep sticking to your codiene taper. Subs cause so many issues and it's a 1000's times stronger than codiene. Have you been going to aa or na meetings? Because tapering alone isn't going to help. You need to be working on your mental issues the drugs have caused you. Now this is just my opinion on the subs. And your sub doctor should have explained to you all that was going to happen and when you should start your first dose. You normally have to be in full withdrawls to start subs. Or they will put you into withdrawls. You make think you're in wothdrawls now with your taper but that's nothing compared to cold turkey. And that's what the subs will put you into If not taken at the right time.
