Question about Lidocain patch

My parents are here visiting and my father is in addict but his doc currently has been Vicodin, he went to the doctor and told them he thought he was addicted and they gave hi, these Lidocain patches to help him get off of Vic, anyone ever heard of that?

see thats what I thought he also has told my mother that he hasn't had a pill in 3 weeks which is a lie, I think he just told her that so she would think he wasn't taking them any more. Thanks

Lidocaine patches are a local numbing agent and will help the pain where he puts the patch...not much is absorbed systemically and they are not addicting...now i wouldnt put 10 on at a time!   they are safe to use but dont think they would help any WDs from narcotics other than the pain at the site they are applied
