Question about amino acids

Hello everyone, I hope some of you remember me LOL I have been a member since back in April but just started posting about two months ago.  I am tappering off of oxy with the help of my doctor.  I have a few question I hope someone can answer.  Anyway I was wondering if the amino acids would help me?  Even though I am tappering.  Also another question if this would help is there anything else that would help?  I read alot about the Thomas reciepe but don't know what I should start with if someone could help me put together a list I would be more than greatfull, I am going to CVS this weekend and would like to know what to buy in what dosage and so forth, I would  like to buy whatever I need this sat. when I go.  I already take xanax , also I take ambian Cr at nite, also melatonin 5mgs to help me sleep I also take a one a day multi vitamin for ladies.  I am a very stressful person.  That is the reason I take the xanax.  Also if someone could tell me the name of the other stuff I read on here some where that is for nerves that is a natural thing.  I would really be GREATFULL!  If someone would help me with this,  that is if you guys think it would help me.   I have learned so much on here it is unreal,  This forum is the reason I told my doctor I wanted to stop taking it.  I was on it for four years and would still be just getting my scripts like normal, but thanks to all of you, you have opened my eyes and I am very thankful for all of you.  Anyway like I said any help with me putting a list together would be great.    Thank you in advance for any help I can get putting this list together.   Debbie

Kava Kava helps with steess/have tried and it does work...there is something called Anxietol-7 that is supposed to help with stress...i have not tried it....cvs will not carry most of what you will need....u need to to a GNC store or a natural foods/vitamin store...puritan pride online has cheap prices/i order from Bulk nutrition online...there is a write up in the health pages and also in my journal on supps

SAMe - moods/calming
5htp - moods
Theanine - moods/anxiety
Methionone - moods
Tyrosine - energy and depression
Phenyalanine - energy and depression
GABA- anxiety and sleep
I have never tried valerian root for anxiety but it worked well for me for sleep

also dont forget you B complex/ Cal/Mag supp at night/ a good multi with tons of C-EmergenC is a good one

I also take Piracetam for memory/focusing and choline as it enhances it

Thank you for the list of things that help,  Does anyone know the name of the nature stuff for stress?

Not sure if CVS will have all these things. i ordered mine through the mail with puritains pride. they are pretty reasonalble.

valarian root -reduces aniexy 1,000-1,500 mg every 4 hrs as needed
l-theaine -acts like valium take as needed (an amino acid)

daily
l-glutamine -500mg 3xday
l-methionine -500 mg 2xday (builds s-ame)

i didn't start any of these until the day i quit altogether. dumb mentality i had then was that i would be probably feeling extra bad and by adding these things to my diet then would make up for it and i would feel the difference. but i am sure that it would of helped to start it while i was tappering.
but i must say that my day 1, 2, 3 and all were really pretty good! the worst was while i was tappering.

also when i quit i added tons of protein to my diet and fresh vegtables and fruits. (not so much fruits)

looking back i think my biggest help through withdrawl was all the time i spent with my kids. the last week, we went on a long vacation accross country (over 2,500 miles)  stopping any and everywhere we wanted. checking out cool cities, national parks, hiking beautiful places. it was a week full of fun and laughing and no cares. we made jokes about how i was always cold and how ridiculously excited i would get about anything that was warm like having a fireplace in a restuarant or space heaters in a hotel. the emergency stops for bathroom issues and such. it was quite the adventure and really helped keep my mind off the withdrawls.
BTW my kids are all adults. so there was none of the hassles of little kids.

If you look in the Health pages there is the amino acid protocol it has some good suggestions .I found that supplements really made a big difference for me exercise helps alot too ....keep it up .
