Rgvsr wanted to stop and taper off Vicodin after 7 years, taking 10/325, I am prescribed 60 a month of 10/325, and 30 Valium 10 mg a month and is that enough to taper and how long will it take to quit.already started a couple of months ago-but went up and down a bit because of getting a new doctor, as Edgar D Ramirez, pain mang doc was a lunatic.well have a new doc, laws changed and am going to try again, so i can get out of there money system, and get my life back somewhat, would and think i can deal with pain, note also i am not an abuser of this 7 years never over 3 in one day maybe once or twice, and since only 2 a day now sometimes one a day,and valium hardly use at all my wife takes them more then me. So any plan, or is the 1 a day to start of be 1 and 1/2 , a day and for how long, and then drop again for how long then once more what then quit is that close and is that in about 3 months, since ive been on them for 7 years or should i take a full year of tapering, any help please, want a life back only 55 this june, and have high tolorence for pain , but am older, ddd, chronic arthritis, bursides and had 2 c spine fused at 3/4 lvl, and 7/6 lvl, but i am now feeling a little better and know as i age it only gets worse so should try this now i think. help suggestions anyone, old timers and long users legit please, no recreational advice, you did that to your self, i know your human, i just need as close to real life examples like myself please. Hi & Welcome..Well we can not give taper advise on here, but I will say give your body time to adjust from one drop to another..Like nice and slow. Do you have a DR on board here? It sounds like you did not take many mgs in a day but you have taken it for a lot of years..It does take time for the Brain to balance all its wiring back as it does the Body. I waited until I was 56 and came off 3 meds about 17 Months ago..It gets harder as we age. Make sure you drink plenty of water. Maybe get some electrolyte powder to add to it. You can also get some protein powder going..Get some good plant based vit/min. We have to replenish back what we have lost during are using. Spice up your Life with some good food and some exercise. We are here and will be with you all the way..The detox will be over soon it is staying clean that takes the cake. I wish you the best. Do not forget about the Epsom salt baths at night..Lots of Luck you can do it..Lets get your Life back.
Bless
