Rapid detox from methadone and naltrexone implants

I am interested to hear from anyone who has been through a rapid detox following methadone or heroin addiction and then had a naltraxone implant.  I have been clean for 18 months after having two naltrexone implants but can't find anyone else who has managed to come off after using such a high dose of methadone (300 ml per day).  Would also be interested to hear about any side effects from naltrexone and rapid detox, as I have experienced depression, anxiety and Delirium tremors and extreme aggression!

The symptoms you've experienced have nothing to do with rapid detox or Naltrexone pellet. You have psychological withdrawal symptoms. Therefore you need medication to regulate your psychological dis balance, before your body gets used to drugs free life. I know it's hard to believe that it comes from the head, but that's how it is. I believe that Naltrexone implant is a wonder medication.

Not sure how that works as the naltrexone blocks opiate receptors and even reverses the effects of opiates which is how it saves lives of OD victims who are already barely breathing.  Not to insult you as everyone's brain chemistry is different and I guess it could somehow be possible that your pain meds are working.  If I personally had to make a bet and lay money down to diagnose someone who was taking naltrexone and was taking opiate pain meds to control pain and they were still working I would have to lean toward the pain being psychological and the opiate pain meds were either working by placebo effect or the pain medications you are prescribed contain acetominophin, ibuprofin, or aspirin and that itself is taking care of your pain not the opiate.

A placebo test if properly done could answer this question for you.

Again, I am not a doctor.  I am not trying to insult you or point a finger at you and say ha ha you're wrong.  I was just writing a response to something I found very interesting and perplexing.

You are incorrect in stating that naltrexone will stop pain relief when adminstered
from working.I am on NAL for alcohol dependance,I use pain killers on a regular
basis for a neck injury, works every time.

I had my rapid detox from methadone plus heroine in Serbia (RefindYourWay) and it helped me sooo much!!! My detox took 7 days and I felt some minimal withdrawal syndromes (a bit of pain my legs, sweating) but I received medicines every time I felt something it helped me immediately! I am so happy! I have a 6 month Naltrexone implant and I feel just great. They did some kind of therapy for cravings elimination or something so psychologically I feel so much better. It really worked for me.

I believe if your methadone dose is lower than 40 mg. than the blockade effect isn't complete. On a higher dose, nothing gets through the blockade, but on 20 mgs. a day, you can get pain relief from other meds. (or get high if that's what youre looking for).
