Rapid detox from methadone and naltrexone implants

I am interested to hear from anyone who has been through a rapid detox following methadone or heroin addiction and then had a naltraxone implant.  I have been clean for 18 months after having two naltrexone implants but can't find anyone else who has managed to come off after using such a high dose of methadone (300 ml per day).  Would also be interested to hear about any side effects from naltrexone and rapid detox, as I have experienced depression, anxiety and Delirium tremors and extreme aggression!

I WAS ADVISED TO WRITE TO YOU.MY SITUATION IS THIS,HOOKED ON PAIN PILLS.FROM VIC.TO OXYS.AND EVERYTHING IN BETWEEN.ABOUT 60 DAYS AGO I GOT SOME METHADONE WAFERS FROM A FRIEND WHO GETS THEM PRESCRIBED FOR PAIN.I TOOK 30 MG.IN THE MORN.30 AT NIGHT-1ST DAY.20 MG.MORN. AND NIGHT-2ND DAY.3RD & 4TH DAY I TOOK 10MG.THEN I STOPPED.I WAS CLEAN FOR A WHILE.BUT I RELAPSED,NOW I'M HOOKED ON THE METH.SOMEONE FROM THE FORUM TOLD ME YOU JUST DETOXED WITH THE METH.SEE I WOULD TAKE THE PAIN PILLS TO GET HIGH,THEN I'D RUN OUT,AND DO THE METH. TO DETOX.HOW LONG ARE YOU SUPPOSE TO DO THE METH.?ARE THERE ANY MEDS OUT THERE TO HELP WITH WD.DO THEY WORK?LIKE,THOMAS RECIPE,CLONIDINE,BUPRENEX,L-TYROSINE.HOW DO I GET THE METH.WAFERS PRESCRIBED?ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE GREAT.I'M A LITTLE HESITANT TO GO TO A PAIN MANAGEMENT DOC.I WOULDN'T MIND SPENDING THE 1-2OO.00,IF I WAS SURE THEY'D GIVE ME WHAT I NEED.ALL I WANT IS TO JUST BE NORMAL.A TRATMENT PROGRAM IS NOT AN OPTION.THANKS AGAIN----------PILLHELL!!!!

mrmichael, have you had a naltrexone implant?  Can anyone explain more to me about whether the depression is caused by the naltraxone or just difficulty with dealing with life after being on drugs for so long? Also, to anyone who's had a naltraxone implant, are the effects of depression and anxiety worse soon after implantation?

Your body will eventually start to produce endorphins again.  When it will happen is hard to say.  Excersise is one excellent way to get your body to produce them.  Endorphins are called endogenous opioids.  Naltrexone has the same effect on them as it does on any other opioid.

I have been off the opiates for almost 30 days now and I am ready to get back to living sober. I am sooooooo run down, I have read that prolonged use of opiates causes your body to quit producing endorphins. Is this true? What can be done about it? How long will it take my body to start producing them when I impliment ya'lls suggestions? What Vitamines can I take? And what exactly is an endorphin anyhow?

I was eating 240mg of oc's a day.Been abusing painkillers for about 4 years,I started with Ultram got up to 750mg to 1000mg a day on those, then about a year ago started on the Oxy's.What a mistake that was!!
