Hey oxy22 welcome to the forum. You have made a great decision to get your life back. I know it seems really hard right now but you CAN DO THIS. You stated you did CT off 60 mg oxycontin before so you showed you can make it. I understand completely I myself did CT off 240 mg oxy/day so I know how tough it can be. Since you have weened down w/d should not be nearly as bad as when you did it off oxycontin. So just make the jump now and in 3-5 days you should start feeling better. I will pray for you and remember YOU CAN DO THIS. God Bless---Rick

Definitely no 5 hour energy if you've got anxiety.  I know that the low energy stinks, but that is making the anxiety worse for you.  Benadryl gave me HORRIBLE restlessness.  It's supposed to make you sleepy, I know.  BUT......it has the opposite effect when you're in WD.  I'd stop both of those.  Stick with something like Melatonin or Valerian Root.  Those will help sleep and anxiety.  Save the 5 hour energy for when you get through the WDs.  It might help you then but not now!

If you'll google about taking Imodium for WDs, you'll get some helpful info from people who have used it to take the edge off.  It really does help other things besides the diarrhea.  Just don't overdo it.  Also, you can try a dose of Nyquil at night.  NOT half the bottle.  Just a dose or two.  It has an ingredient that can help RLS therefore giving you some sleep without being on something addicting.  A lot of docs give people sleeping pills or benzos during WD, but I don't recommend that. Not at all!  That's just trading one drug for another.

Try the things I listed, and stay away from the energy shots and benadryl.  You'll feel much, much better!  This will be over soon. Just hang in there! :)

if you are feeling anxiety, 5 hour energy might not be the best idea now, too much caffeine... keep pushing yourself and congrats on your clean day :)

Hi!  Welcome here!  You have a chance to make this end right now!  Just don't take another pill no matter what.  As long as you're healthy, get rid of the remaining pills, and just get if over with.  It won't be any fun, but you can certainly do it.  Use the Thomas recipe.  I used some of the things from it but not all.  I'd never taken vitamins in my life till then, but I took any advice I could get.  Cal/mag/zinc and potassium and Imodium and Hyland's leg cramps......those things saved my life. Then when I realized that I had no energy, I started Super B Complex vitamin.  It worked wonders. I barely could walk to my bathroom to take a hot bath!!! (those are life savers too!)  Just do whatever it takes to stop.  That's all that matters!  :)

All I can say is you should quit now. We have a bloody EPIC group of people quitting right now helpin each other out and you do NOT want to miss out on being a part of that shet!

If I do say so myself. Which I just did...so I guess I would.....what?
We all need sleep. Sooooorrry :)

But yes you are feeling perfectly normal for detoxing. For you it should not be that bad. Ok It will be bad and it will be a biatch for a while but in few weeks you will be good as new.

-proud zombie crew member since...um...LAST SATURDAY NIGHT AT 6pm!

Yes I know the mental part is the worst part but you sound like you have a great attitude and that half the battle. Good job on getting rid of your contacts. I know you will be another success story here on MH.---Rick

First, congrats on weaning down. You came down alot which should really help you have a milder withdrawal. Unfortunately, withdrawal is still withdrawal (yuck!) I do think you will be feeling better soon if you do not take another pill.
